Underage Smoking?

A local high school basketball boys coach gave his players victory cigars after they defeated, by upset, a local rival team last weekend. Naturally all of the boys are under 18 years. He handed out the cigars on the court as soon as the game ended. Several of the boys lit up the cigars in the locker room.

The coach's school said that was bad judgement on his part and suspended him for one game. The game however would have been the league championship game. The coach objected and quit.

Did the school go overboard? Did the coach? Your opinion.

If my child were playing for that team...the coach would have more to worry about than sanctions by the school board. I'd have his balls for earrings!!

I agree with the Countess. Whatever happened to pizza & soda after a big game? I would have smacked that moron coach into next Christmas, if it had been my kids on that team.
