underage drinking

A while back, in an earlier thread, someone said that kids seem to be getting into hard stuff earlier.

I was just curious, since we have a good mix of generations here, when you all first got drunk or high.

It's been a long time but I think I was 12 when I first got drunk with my friends and maybe 14 when we first got high. Yeah, maybe we started a little early but by the time we graduated at least 80% of our class had gotten drunk and stoned at least a couple of times ( it wasn't a small school either). I know because I had personally partied with most of them.

My first 'drunk' night didn't come until I was probably 19. I had drank some, while in high school, but it was mostly just a wine cooler here and there. Since then (and I am only 23 now) i have only gotten really drunk a hand full of times. But keep in mind, since I was 19, I have spentroughly 17 months pregnant.

First got drunk when I was 18 first week of college.

Did not try any other drugs till the weekend i turned 21, but then only pot. It really had no effect on me. I did not feel any different at all, but my body chemistry has always been very stable.

There's nothing wrong with not drinking to excess. I haven't been really drunk since my bachalor party 6 years ago ( of course it takes a lot more than a 6 pack and a couple shots of kamakazi to get me there now ).

It just seems to me that in the late 70's and early 80's kids party a lot more and at earlier ages than anyother time. Maybe it's just because I was there and involved in it.

It was easier back then too, I think, we could leave school between class and at lunch to smoke and drink, people were more willing to by for you, and if you caought all they did was take your stash.

Now, also keep in mind, in my life, I have spent around 26 months pregnant in all. Thank goodness this will be the last one!

High School weekends are a blurred haze of drunken weed smoking. Whee!

Now I get drunk about twice a year, and toke it less. Although lately toking it is more often and drinking is less often.

I believe the first beer I ever drank was at 9. I was at a BBQ with my best friend and we snatched two open cans off of some tables. We drank them, giggled for awhile and that was it.

I got drunk for the first time at 14. Summer between 9th and 10th grade. I thought I rocked. I smoked weed shortly after. I thought I was the shit. Then I got shitfaced drunk and stoned on a VERY hot and humid day and my nose bled all over the place. My mom thought I was on coke.

I figured (And still do) that experimenting with it is normal. I never got ripped and drove. I never got rides with friends who were drunk. We'd booze and smoke out and pass out eventually and all was well.

After I hit 18 it lost most of the thrill. After 21 it lost all of it. Now I just drink on New Years and My Birthday. Life is too routine, I figure getting shit-ass drunk breaks it up and removes the stick from my ass for a short while

I was around 13 or 14 when I first got drunk. My parents had a stocked bar but didn't drink, and my mother always talked about the bad points of alcohol. So of course I had to find out on my own
