Under tRump, America is Weaker and More Vulnerable

tRump, a living version of the Trojan Horse.

Many entities emerged as traitors, after they brought tRump through the Gates in America's Wall Against Evil and Harm.

American traitors put religion in the same cart with American government, and corruption of government put religion in the same cart with business. Business won, each corporation was declared a person. A Super Being, with voting rights, religious rights, and the power of billions of dollars, and the powerful alliance between corporations.

If Science fought against what corporations want, Science would be defeated. Business rode in the same cart as government. tRump installed the agents of Business. America would be mercilessly exploited, America would be robbed, America would be poisoned. America would become powerless to defend itself.

Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg sneer at America. "Fuck you, America, and fuck your Democracy."

"We do not care about bots and influence, or elections."

American people care!

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg succinctly put it, “[t]he court, I fear, has ventured into a minefield.”

Republicans sought to reassure America, after Republicans refused to do the Right Thing. They pointed to the "responsible adults" that would keep tRump's worst impulses in check.

Where are the responsible adults, now ?

The people that surround tRump are temps.
Just there to complete a hatchet job.
Soon to be replaced.

tRump's highest advisor is Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump's husband. Ivanka the First and Most Favored Daughter, slipped away.

FOX TV tells him what to think, (60% of the time ?) plus FOX TV personalities are inside the White House.

Those in contact with tRump prod him into stupid and distructive acts.

Is America better off, after tRump took over ?

The billionaires are better off.

Did someone believe billionaires would be loyal to America ?

They laughed their way to the bank, after the Wall St. Disaster of 2007-2008. America had to tap them on the shoulder, and point to their lack of empathy, and their abundant display of insensitivity.

Trump is starving the U.S. government of critical personnel—another gift to Putin

February 4, 2019

There's a lot of ways to completely hobble a functional government. One is to severely underfund it through declining revenues from a whopper of a tax cut to America's richest. Another is to simply cut off funding altogether and shut it down. But another, more insidious way is to hollow out the government's personnel to the point that you're running a skeleton operation. In fact, that's just the way Donald Trump likes it.

The gutting of the federal government began early on, with reports of the mass exodus of career employees at agencies like the State Department under then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. But the rot from within has continued eating its way straight into Trump's cabinet. As the Washington Post notes, Trump now has an "acting" chief of staff, attorney general, defense secretary, interior secretary, Office of Management and Budget director, and Environmental Protection Agency chief.

Additionally, Trump’s rate of executive branch confirmations lags far behind his predecessors. For instance, Partnership for Public Service estimates that just 54 percent of Trump's executive branch nominees have been confirmed, while President Obama had a confirmation rate of 77 percent. Republicans like to blame Trump's wanting confirmation rate on Democrats, but the Post and the Partnership for Public Service found that "the White House has not bothered to nominate people for 150 out of 705 key Senate-confirmed positions."

“If you think about our government as a manager of critical risk, we’ve upped our risk,” said Max Stier, president and chief executive of the Partnership for Public Service.

tRump continues to rip America apart.

https://www.npr.org/2019/02/14/6949...tion-for-border-wall-could-tap-military-funds

By declaring a national emergency at the same time he signs the legislation keeping the government open, Trump is aiming to amass additional funding for that wall from what acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney has called "pots of money" in federal agencies.

A 1982 law empowers the secretary of defense to redirect military construction funds during a presidentially declared national emergency.

"You can use military construction funding under a national emergency, but it actually stipulates that that has to be for a military purpose and it would be hard to justify this, I think, is a military purpose," says military budget expert Todd Harrison of the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Trump is now lifting arguments that the constitution isn’t constitutional straight from Fox News twitter.com/realdonaldtrum…
7:19 PM - 14 Feb 2019 from Washington, DC

Lou Dobbs, a Fox Business Channel host who frequently speaks to the president both through the screen and on the phone, expressed the premise of using a emergency order to circumvent democratic debate. “I really believe that the way forward here is for him to declare a national emergency, and simply sweep aside the recalcitrant left in this country,” he said on air last month. “They have obstructed, resisted, and subverted for far too long.” Note, in particular, the chilling authoritarianism of the term “subverted” to describe a policy dispute between co-equal branches of government.

Trump echoed this spirit in his ill-fated national address touting the border wall, when he concluded, “When I took the oath of office, I swore to protect our country and that is what I will always do so help me God.” In fact, the oath of office commits the president to protect the Constitution, not “the country.” The distinction between the two things is substantial. The actual oath binds Trump to a form of government and the rule of law. Trump’s version of it invests in his own office unlimited authority to define security and carry it out as he alone sees fit.

Few Republican officials have echoed this kind of bluntly fascistic rhetoric. Instead, they have responded to the threat much as they have responded to the broader currents of authoritarianism emanating from the Oval Office. First they pushed back quietly, and then finally relented:

tRump has been doing everything possible to hurt the USA.

Stress, pain, suffering, neglect, abuse.

Trump going to draw $8 billion from? $3.6 billion of it will come from funds that were intended for military construction projects—new and improved housing for military families, many of whom live in squalid conditions, including housing full of mice and mold. Only days ago, lawmakers held a hearing to discuss the conditions of housing for military families, and what the families described was the stuff of nightmares.

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/20...intended-for-military-family-housing-upgrades

Terrible housing results in victims of terrible conditions. Sick soldiers, sick families, sick children. Injured people.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...-bases-across-country/?utm_term=.7c409f291d73

In 1996, the Pentagon reported to Congress that federally run housing was so badly neglected that it posed the risk of “collapsing the force.”

Since then, 99 percent of on-base housing has been privatized.

Companies rely on performance incentives for additional profit, which is paid by military installations.

The privatization effort at first prompted cost-cutting, Douglas said, triggered “lower-touch service,” fewer staff members and less communication with residents.

(Housing victims are under the same unsaid rules of sexual abuse victims. STFU, or suffer the consequences.)

About $21 billion in unobligated military construction funds from the last five years are now available to the president for the wall construction. The money is connected to a host of planned housing, medical and logistics projects in the United States and overseas but has not yet been spent.

Even before Friday. the national emergency declaration drew harsh criticism on Capitol Hill, both from Democrats opposed to the wall proposal and members of the president’s own party.

-Removing lead from military housing
-Making overseas bases safer
-Upgrading hospitals that treat wounded troops

These are the types of projects military construction funding is supposed to pay for when it isn’t stolen to build a wall that won’t make us safer.

The contractors will not be paid, according to the latest version. Will tRump go after that money, too ? A month's wages, doing work for the USA, down the hole. How many contractors lost money ?

The emergency declaration, according to White House officials, enables the president to divert $3.6 billion from military construction projects to the wall. Mr. Trump will also use more traditional presidential discretion to tap $2.5 billion from counternarcotics programs and $600 million from a Treasury Department asset forfeiture fund.

My favorite part is where he is taking 2.5 billion from counternarcotics programs to build a wall to counter narcotics.

Every department of the government has been reduced to a skeleton crew. tRump's own support crew has been severely reduced.

What the fuck is the purpose of reducing the number of scientists that study and predict hurricaines and tornadoes ?

Our elections are under attack, and now there are fewer people working to protect them, thanks to tRump.

The White House plans to use $600 million from the Treasury Department’s forfeiture funds account, which contains money seized by the federal government from a range of illicit activities.

An additional $2.5 billion would be redirected from a Pentagon program for countering drug activities, and a final $3.6 billion would be moved from military construction accounts.

For nearly the entirety of Donald Trump's presidency, political opponents and legal experts have been warning of a constitutional crisis, a high-stakes turning point that will test the limits of presidential authority and the very checks and balances central to America's democracy.

With Trump's announcement that he will move to divert other federal funds to pay for a border wall Congress refused to fund, they might just get it.

National Press Club criticizes Capitol Police manhandling of reporters

February 15, 2019

The National Press Club on Friday sharply criticized the Capitol Police for reportedly manhandling several reporters this week in the Senate basement and blocking the press from interviewing some senators during a vote.

The incident contravened the chamber’s long-standing bipartisan practice of supporting journalists’ access to lawmakers.

During a routine Thursday afternoon floor vote, a large number of reporters were gathered in the Senate basement to interview lawmakers when, without warning, Capitol Police officers interjected themselves between senators and reporters and in some instances manhandled and shoved reporters away, according to a Roll Call news report. This reportedly happened to the surprise of several senators, who were willingly engaging in interviews.

The altercation between reporters and police did not last long, and the police eventually allowed reporters to resume their customary subway interview practices. But it was nonetheless unacceptable, Club leaders said.

https://www.press.org/news-multimed...iticizes-capitol-police-manhandling-reporters

The altercation took place days after a BBC journalist was physically attacked at Trump's rally in El Paso, Texas, by a man yelling, "Fuck the media!" The National Press Club also stated that journalists' access to reporting on Capitol Hill must be protected.
