unable to change email address

I'm trying to change my account email address and as many other people are experiencing, it says it won't change until I respond to the verification email. This never arrives - I checked my spam folder. I tried using a different email and still the same thing, and it always just shows the same message about responding to the verification email which never arrives.

I can't find anyway to contact someone for support other than to raise a thread on here but I can also see lots of other threads with the same problem that don't appear to be getting any help.

Any suggestions?
