SIMA's Escape/Meet-ups

I'm getting the hell out of this place....prison. I'm going to do a bit of travelling before I settle down and begin work. I wanted to see if there was anyone who wanted to get together IRL while I do this travel bit.

Also, any tips from people about what I need to do to get my shit together...loan stuff, bills, storage, who I need to talk to, etc.

When you try to get out of prison, doesn't someone usually come looking for you to take you back? Loans can be consolidated via the loaning institution (student loans?), but I believe there are some downsides to this. Are you serious about this?

One More Thing...

I've already weighed and talked about the benefits of leaving and staying. I'm not happy at this school, I don't care enough about schoolwork at this point in my life to really buckle down and take care of business. I'd be much happier working and doing things on my own. I have basic outlines of plans for when to leave, where to live, what kind of jobs to take, etc. For now, I just want to travel around a little bit, be free, because I've never really felt that....freedom to do whatever. I'd like to try and stay on here at least until March, get things sorted out (i.e. bills, student loans, etc.) and then leave with nothing more than one duffel bag for now. Everything else I'll put into storage.

But for now, I just want to travel. For a month or so. So does anyone want to get together?

Thats what I'm posting for. I'm just going to wander. So if it's within my grasp and some AHers (the one's I know) want to get together, I don't see that being a problem. If people do want to get together and want to work out details you can PM me.

Just domestic or international travel, too? Planning and cost differ greatly, depending.

Edited to add: I envy you. Whatever the pluses and minuses of leaving school for a while, there will never be a time when you're more free to take an extended trip than your student years.

Okay one more explanatory post from me.

I'm not asking people to travel with me. I'm asking if people want to meet. I already have a possible travel partner, and frankly I don't want more than that.

All I'm asking is if people (that I know) want to meet, i.e. have lunch, etc.
