"A new education law will deprive Ukraine’s ethnic minorities of the right to study in their own languages

Meanwhile:

"Russia is committing "grave human rights violations" in Crimea, according to a report by the United Nations. The UN human rights agency says it has documented arbitrary arrests, torture and at least one extra-judicial execution in the region."

There is an urgent need for accountability," UN human rights chief Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein said.C0

France did that a couple of hundred years ago. That regulation is still in force.

BUT - you can go to universities in many European countries and be taught in English (OK, it's American English, not UK English but at least they try).

Funny, one of the first things Russia did when it stole the Crimea was to ban the Tartars from teaching in their language, or having radio stations, or anything to do with being a Tartar.

To this day they imprison any Tartar who speaks about the Putin regime and its theft of Tartar property.

Further, what the article leaves out is that Ukraine is not suppressing minority languages. The law states that starting in September 2020, students will be taught exclusively in Ukrainian from the fifth grade onwards, though they can still learn their native languages as a separate subject.

China’s Muslim minority banned from using their own language in schools
Regional government accused of 'cultural genocide'

"Under Articles 10 and 37 of the Chinese constitution, ethnic minorities have a right to preserve their own languages and traditions and students are supposed to be able “where possible [to] use textbooks in their own languages and use these languages as a media of instruction”.

Do you have any proof of that? You know, Greece is one of the most evolved nations in the world.

Complete crock. Watch videos of interviews with people on the street in Crimea on YouTube. While most people are big supporters of reunification with Russia, the few who don't are free to express their view without fear. Crimea is not "occupied" territory. Its been fully incorporated into Russia. Life there is completely normal like anywhere else in Russia.

The Kerch Strait bridge is even on track to open to auto traffic by the end of next year.

Crimea voted overwhelmingly to reunify with Russia.

This ridiculous thing about a small minority of Tatars is the biggest non-issue. Are you a CIA paid poster? These Tatars are like 10% of the population. They are the only pawn the CIA has to use to justify their opposition to Crimean unification with Russia. 10% don't get to decide an election in any country on earth.
