You're very welcome, hunni :)

Out of curiosity, what part of London are you from? I'm currently in East London, but was born in North London, raised in "Sawf Lundun" ;) and spent a few years gadding around the globe at Her Maj's behest. :D

Technically i'm a home counties girl, Surrey. Slightly posher than "saaaaf luhndun"
It's just that what with there being so many Americans on the site London is far easier to say. So what were you Army, Navy, RAF??

For my sins, I was a squaddie's worst nightmare - RMP Dog handler - Best 7 1/2 years of my life, even if I say so myself. :)

'scuse my ignorance but what does RMP stand for? Never been much of a dog person myself always preferred cats.

'Ello again

RMP stands for Royal Military Police (or if you're in the services, "Swan Vesta", "Red cap" and a few others that aren't fit for public consumption  )

I've always been a dog lover (NO, not that kind of dog lover you verts!! :p) - We always had dogs since I was knee-high to a grasshopper's gonads and right now, I have a beautiful two year old Rottie female (I dislike the "B" word, even though it is the correct terminology) and an almost 14 year old grumpy codger of a crossbreed.

I like cats, too - But only from a distance - Unfortunately, their fur plays merry hell with my hayfever. :(

Technically i'm allergic to cats as well but we've had mine since i was 4 so i seem to have grown accustomed to her. I don't mind some dogs but was bitten by an Alsatian when i was about 5 and ever since then i think there is some psychological scarring as i'm still a bit apprehensive around them.

Yep, I can relate to your apprehension around big dogs, although I can honestly say that I have always felt at home around all dogs, large or small.

My Rottie is so gentle that contrary to their current bad (read: tabloid) press, she wouldn't bite anyone - That's not to say that you wouldn't escape being licked to death by her, though. LOL

Slightly OT: You do realise that the phrase "Alsation", is in fact, the wrong name for the dog you were bitten by - The correct name is "German Shepherd Dog" (or shortened to GSD), but the name "Alsation" was given to the breed after WWII, when the first dogs started being imported into the UK, but we being bigoted Britons, didn't want anything to do with the phrase "German" and, until the name was changed/bastardised, very few of the breed were accepted in the UK.
[/end history lesson] :D
