Stupidly, I decided to reach for my phone charger and bang. Gone.

There is something in my attic, that sounds heavier than a rat. I'll ask G to have a look but we have to be careful as we have bats in there too.

Then, at about two a fox visited the hens, but my little guy dog heard it, jumped out of an outstairs window and saw it off. My little hero of a dog-man. If he weren't a wanderer I would leave the door open for him all the summer. Then girl dog was over excited and it upset her health problems so I had to hold her and talk to her for ages, and couldn't sleep for worry for her. Then I got to sleep after morning rounds, And seemingly moments after the mechanic called to say the car was ready to collect ( he had since the weekend) so I grudgingly had a shower and went to get it.

Now the morning is gone. G might be home early today though. I hope so!

If anyone needs a quiet day, it sounds like you do!

. I have yoga this afternoon. Not missing it for anything.

I also have the huge list of chores to get done today and tomorrow, but I am pretty confident I can knock them out tomorrow. Better be able to anyway!

Yoga is the light and flowers at the end of last night's tunnel, enjoy!

'Barm' is a sort of northern sandwich?

Hi Elle!! Yes, 'Barm Cake', a sort of flatish, round bread roll, like a bun, or bap elsewhere. Traditionally, they would have been leavened with 'barm' left over from brewing, but probably not these days
