Sorry for the late reply, I've been at a BBQ and then had a drive into the countryside. Back home now though, just got changed into something much cooler.
Yes, I'm all smoooooth again. No irritation for anything elsemy face might come into contact with.

Hi CFMB - oh I have set up another uk personals thread - third attempt after both Hunnys and MrEds got kicked out into the Playground
don't expect it to last but who knows! How frigging difficult can it be LOL

It was really nice. The views were absolutely brilliant.
I just threw some loose clothes on. I don't like restrictive clothes in this weather. Even boxer shorts!

They are too chatty I guess.
I think that they must be looking at the ratio of comments of newbies saying hi to us 'regulars' saying hi to each other :/ ?
so the way I see it is that I am going to linger on this one (and others here in playground) for catching up with all you gorgeous people and use the personals one to say hi to new people...
I cant speak for anyone else but as a newbie I wouldn't have just thrown myself in what looks like to be an established thread with the same names talking to each other in the playground - that's why I like the personals, I felt id found a bit of a home on the old uk thread!

because Personals is the place for exactly as it says on the tin: Personals
the threads tend to get protracted and chatty, ergo, no longer a personal ad kind of gig.
there are myriad forums to explore, and if a noob gets 'caught up' in Persoals, they may not move on.
although, if they stray into the General Board in their innocence...

I did that very thing, said Hi and that was that....as long as you don't go in to an established thread being a dickhead, there's generally not a problem.

If you could just post what you like, what would be the point in the boards having different categories etc?
Personals is exactly that, a place to post personal ads, not for chat.

I get what you say but i was very nervous in the beginning and what is one persons humour csn be construed as anothers dickhead. Have seen this happen, people taking offence or veing rude to someone who was trying to break the ice with his own style of humour. The written word is sometimes very tricky to read

A 'Hi to new UK members' thread over in Personals isn't a bad idea though. Wonder if it's possible to put some kind if signpost there to direct them over here? Was just a thought.
