.........to put the clocks forward last night?

*holding up hand*

It's official. Senility has set in.

*sigh*

:(

I WOULD have forgotten if not for a reminder from my b/f late last night. It's official: I'm useless.

I only rememb ered as I thought about church before oging to bed -our vicar put a clocks going forward reminder on the notice sheet! :D Good job he did, too!

Oh thank god!!

I'm not the only one.

I'm having a realllllllllly hard time persuading the wife to get out of bed.....her body thinks it's still only 10.00, not 11.00. It's going to be painful tomorrow morning getting her up for work.

Right now, settling down to watch Country file on BBC one of my favourite programmes. Today we are in North Devon, around Banstaple Bay. Stunning place.

I have been there - it is is a lovely place - was the last holiday I had with my ex hubby. Despite the stunning scenery, the company was...less than stunning.

I had rehearsals at ten.

So I set all clocks one hour ahead.

But forgot the alarm clock.

I always start treating it like the clocks are behind on Friday, so that I have the enitire weekend to adjust.

I forgot! So did the other half, his friend reminded us.

But the computers did it automatically which made me laugh

I was tickled by the Radio 4 news yesterday. At least three times during the day I heard this 'dead donkey' item about two brothers who collect cuckoo clocks - and with 600, they had to start re-setting them on Friday (or some such rubbish). I'm convinced it was run just as a subtle reminder...

Moi? I did my wrist watch at midnight last night, the alarm when I went to bed, the kitchen clock when I got up and the car clock when I went out. Must get round to the other alarm and the boiler clocks some time this week...

The DABs set themselves whenever they are turned on, and the computers all do themselves as Helen pointed out. (Mind you, they do that all the time - checking internet time servers when they get turned on, while the server does it roughly every ten minutes - its hardware clock is absolutely lousy: errors you can measure as percentages, so that 'ten minutes' is an approximation.)

I don't bother with the video recorder - it does have a clock, but I can never work out if it's showing some elapsed (or still-to-run) time, the channel it's tuned to, or the time, so I don't use that. The SO does check it when she wants to do a timed recording - usually... :D
