Oh yeah, congratulations on completing the NaNo. Having done something similar, I have to say it requires a lot of concentration and dedication! Especially since you went over 70k!!! Are you gonna post your NaNo story on lit?

Oh yeah, congratulations on completing the NaNo. Having done something similar, I have to say it requires a lot of concentration and dedication! Especially since you went over 70k!!! Are you gonna post your NaNo story on lit?

I also nearly went mad sweetheart I will no doubt publish a few chapters here eventually as short stories maybe, not the whole thing though, and not until it's been proof read and edtited.

I posted a 10,000 word chapter of last year's in the stories here, but it's been too British to attract much attention, it was also a complete piss take and parody.

I've written two . One's 90k, the other's 50k. 90k one is so complicated that I won't even bother going into the details! You'll go nuts trying to remember any of it. The storyline and the world it's set in is very complicated. It's fantasy (my favourite genre, though damn difficult to find original work).

50k one, which I did in a month as a sorta solo NaNo thing, is also fantasy. Basically, two countries are about to go to war with each other and one country sends spies to see if this war is unavoidably going to take place. It's about the spy (who's also a priestess) who falls in love with the Emperor of the enemy lands. It's a fantasy/romance really. Lots of bickering/banter and references to the ancient China. I mean, people always talk about the harems, but the Chinese Emperors had thousands of wives! Thousands!!! This particular Emperor is a messed-up guy who has too many children, too many wives (has reached around 300), and has killed too many people in battle (he was originally a ruler of a small land that increased--thanks to his battle prowess). He's just totally warped.

Now that is an epic love, bloody good one too by the sound of it Sounds as though it took some effort and dedication, have you published it anywhere? I rather like fantasy stuff myself and used to write a few odds, nothing worth posting anywhere mind, you can really let go in fantasy land though can't you, and make it what you want it to be regardless of real life and polite society.

My last year Nano is up to about 86,000 now having been adding to it to try to finish it off, I did the same this year, ran out of month before the story was finished.

Are you going to have a go at Nano next year?? You should, I think you'd enjoy the challenge, you seem like a sweet young thing who enjoys a challenge.
