Doubtless they have this in the states - Bigger and Better than anywhere else - but I was recently recommended to visit the friends reunited site. I thought it was great.

http://friendsreunited.co.uk

It has all the schools and colleges listed in the UK and you enter your details, so that all your ex-school friends can get in touch. I had completely lost touch with all my old school friends and from my year there were 42 listed (out of about a hundred).

I have sent a number of e-mails and wait to see what happens.

Has anyone else seen or used this site?

rotflmao!! Love it...

Yeah, I've used it. Found it ok... got in touch with a couple of people that I'd always wondered about, and one lad - well, not a lad now of course <g> - got in touch with me..

Actually, haven't checked it out for a while... guess where I'm going?;)

Great site.

In 5 minutes I've just registered and discovered what two old school pals are doing now...

Thanks.

:D

Just want to say a BIG thankyou for that link... I am hoping to get back in touch with so many of my mates that I lost touch with... there are loads of them listed!

So thanks again

:D

Public service....

...well i am realy pleased that this posting has got such a positive response

anneski - check the site and have a cider for me - a long cold dry one - yum

paragon - goodluck

p_p_man - hope it works out for you

An update......
I literally got this e-mail from an old school friend in the last few minutes.

"How you doing? Firstname "nickname" Surname - remember me?

Great to read things are going so well for you - escaped Accountancy and working 4 days a week, can't be bad.

I have been in IT for donkeys years (yes I know it is nearly as bad as Accountancy!).

Since Nottingham - I just about scraped through. Moved around a bit, lived in London and Salt Lake City, but been in Preston for nearly 20 years -ain't we getting old!

Still just mad for sport, still watch Blackburn every week (so a happy man today), and cricket and golf are obsessions.

Both boys play football, cricket and golf and are now my excuse.

Great to see your name up in lights.

Cheers

8.2 euros

it depends on how many friends you find

and it was an all boys school

only 8.2 euros period, not every e-mail or friend found

although the re-union champagne could get expensive

..all boys schools - is it true what they say?

I'll have you know I just spilt your share of the cider giggling hysterically at that.... :D

Before your time jass - all posh schools were single sex. Yes it's true what they say - we had to wait a long time for our first peek of nookie.

There was one big yank lad who managed to shag a lass from the local convent school on the stairs of a close one dinner-time.
He was a hero.
But we hated him.

I'm still in touch with all the schoolfriends I would still care to meet. Maybe I'll use a similar service in 30 years.

Damn......and I was so looking forward to that........

I registered a while ago, and got back in touch with a school friend I lost touch with 15 years ago. They've now added workplaces, so you can find out what old colleagues are up to - not too sure I'd want to meet up with some of them:)

thanks for that one, managed to trace my first girlfriend, (big AWW), we were young and in love, I used to give her my apple everyday and she would save a space for me in the book corner.. it was the real thing, well as real as it gets for two five yr olds

but thanks again. :)

Well, Jass, your quite right - I'm trying to contact a few former pupils as well. It's a superb directory and well worth the fiver - brings up good memories and old stories as well as old flames. Not from my all boys school!

Thanks

ROTFLMAO!!! Oh I am SOO glad to read that... <grins and ducks to avoid thrown objects>

Started that story yet? And what was for dinner? Inquiring minds need to know....;)

hello Anneski
Just e-mailed you with thoughts on your story. Didn't know you wre on line.

To put it public: I enjoyed it and found the last scene really erotic and your heroine a real person.
Brave
Look forward to the next.
It is pissing down here.
