I'm such a sucker for these stories.

Less so the " cinderella" version than the ones where the Plain Jane rips off the glasses, lets down her hair, loses the baggy sweater and turns out to be Sandra Bullock.

No end of variants possible- school, work, at the beach, even camping ( under that flannel shirt lurked a teeny bikini....).

anyone else agree?

I'd love to read more of them.

Yup, agree completely. It's that special coming of age where a girl realizes that there are actually guys who like glasses, who like skinny legs (or chubby legs), or whatever; ideally, the sex experience helps the girl (of course, this can be reversed and be a guy, too) come to terms with her appearance and body-type.

another variation is the "reunion" story- the plain jane from high school/college/ summer camp met ten years later, now blossomed.

I love ugly duckling stories.

I think we need one where a girls parents got divorced when she was younger. She stays with her dad while her mom moves out to California.
When she is 19 she finally takes her mother up on the offer to go out to LA and spend the summer. While there her mother gets her to lose the overalls and baggy shirts, brings her to a salon and gets her made up and builds up her confidence by showing her off at clubs and introducing her to a few guys (for her to have flings with).
The summer ends and the girl heads home-

How would her friends and former school mates react? And what about Dad...he sends her off for a couple months and she comes back a full bloomed lady. Could have a good incest angle if someone wanted to put that spin on it too.
