Yeah I know, i'm sure this has been done before but...

Do you believe in UFO's?

Do you believe they are extra terrestrial in origin?

Have you ever encountered one?

I ask because I believe I have seen one or something that "behaved" like one. No "Communion" or "Fire in the Sky" like event or anything. No Deborah I wasn't analy probed.

My freinds and I saw something come down much like a meteor ,but cherry red, about half a mile behind a friend of mines home. No crash or boom just a low woosh and then nothing. The five of us took off running thinking that we could find this thing in the little creek valley that it had gone in to. When we got about a quarter mile distant from it in a farmers field just about to the point that we would have been able to see down in the valley. Zoom! the fucking thing takes off, heading up and away from us. In a direction approximately ninety degrees different from the one at which it entered. It (this cherry colored light) was about the size of a good size filing cabinet and seemed to be casting light on something larger behind it. The sppeed of the object increased dramaticly after it reached several hundred feet. Within seconds it just sort of winked out.

I don't know what it was. There for, I guess, by definition it was a UFO. But as to wether it was some natural phenomenon or some type of vehicle who knows. My friends and I discuss it on occassion but have never come up with a satisfactory answer.

There. I started. i would be very interested to see if there are others like me and what the general feeling is on this.

I knew it was coming.

And it starts.

Adults only please kiddies.

well I posted something simiar.....

shoot my story was more related to the real ghost story post so I put it there. But to the part that fits here,I was looking for a legendary ghost called the surrency spook light and when I didn't see it I turned around and there this thing was.It was a white ball which came into view from behind a tree and took off on a 45 degree angle and in a couple of seconds it was gone.
btw I believe that the truth is out there.

I'm a believer, we are being monitored by a higher form, a more advanced civilization, why? We are a volatile planet, a violent species that in the last 50 years has become able to cause harm outside our own atmosphere, we have sent probes into space, and we have used nuclear power to exterminate our own. Other civilizations in the universe have good reason to be concerned. Just because we haven't proven other life exists, doesn't mean it isn't there. UFO sightings have significantly sky-rocketed (no pun) since 1945, the first and only uses of nuclear war-fare. Why these sightings are generally in remote areas, we'll never know. We probably can't comprehend their objectives. Anybody that thinks we are alone in this universe probably spends too much time on one book.

Yeah but never seen a damn thing!

Shit too - I'm jealous. I would gladly be anally probed just to get a glimpse of an ET ship. No shit. I've probably only seen two or three shooting stars in my life. The arrora (is that how you spell it) once. I never get to see anything cool in the sky. I guess I don't look up much. You know here in NY? Pidgeon dooty.

Never seen one, but I do believe that there is something flying around. Not sure what it is, but with such numbers of reports, it can't be just crazy people thinking they see something. Also, since there is life here, why can't there be life elsewhere?

Sparky, it's spelled aurora. :)

Did you ever see?

The original version of Invaders From Mars? Black and white. A ship crashes/lands and buries itself in the ground. The Martians have this "tunnel digger gun" and start honeycombing the ground beneath this town. When some poor unsuspecting slob earthling wonders out onto this soft desert sand - the Martians use the gun to suck the guy down under ground. They implant a crystal in the earthlings brain and make them their slave. This 10 year old kid figures out the whole deal after seeing his father sucked down inside the ship and has to deal with new robot controlled Martian slave dad. And the Martian leader? Cool! A big brain head, only the head, with medusa-like snake tentacles - housed in a clear orb. Neat!

Ex, I've always been torn on the subject. I've never seen a UFO (although I've seen some very strange things in the sky - especially at night) and I keep going back and forth on the idea of life outside of this planet. If we are not the only life in the universe, I find it hard to believe that we are the highest form of it. And if there are other civilizations advanced enough to travel to our planet, I think they would be a bit more obvious about making their presence known to us.

And if we are the only life in the universe....well, after reading Elaine West's comments on the "Confession" thread, God help us all.

Gaucho, maybe they're advanced enough to realize what would happen to them if they showed themselves?

I have no idea what you saw, but it sounds interesting. There is a phenomenon called ball lightning which might account for it, or a number of other light refraction phenomenon known to exist in the atmosphere from time to time, all of which have been taken as UFOs at one time or another, but I honestly don't know what you saw.

I only know that I don't believe spaceships visit earth. Distances are too great, the odds are too enormous, and there are too many far better explanations for sightings.

You mean, like, Bobtoad might be out there with his Magnum just waiting to see what color they bleed?

It's always a possibility, I suppose. But I'd like to think that if they were smart enough to get here in the first place, they'd find a way to contact us without frightening the hell out of us.

Dagnavit, how do I always get hauled into the middle of these things?

Anyways, UFO's Are really UFA'a, Unidentified Flying Angels. And thats the bottom line the bible said so.

My apologies if that offended anybody. I am deeply sorry for feelings and toes I tramped upon with this serious claim of mine.

Bobotoad take your Bible and shove it up your ass. Im sick of your religious references in every flippin thread!!

You go, girl.

Uh, no offense, Bobtoad. :)

Bobtoad, my spiritual mentor, finally got something biblically correct. The first chapter of Ezekiel is all about UFOs, or UFAs, as Bobtoad puts it.

Incidentally, the Nephilim, the fallen angels, don't ride flying saucers, they ride Harleys. Well, OK, they do also ride bareback with respect to human women they have come to earth to seduce and impregnate once again, as in the days of Noah.

Good news Sparky and friends. The Nephilim do anal probes much as they did in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah.

dagnavit Deborah can you stop making fun of me for one post, please. I didn't expect you to make a mockery of bible interepretation. well actually everyone else probably enjoyed so continue on, i'll turn the other cheek

Sorry Deborah,

I thought you were making fun of my beliefs, again I apologize for misunderstanding and assuming you meant something you didn't.

I'm fucking serious you mindless twit.

We know, Deb. That's what makes it so funny. But it's all right. We're not laughing at you and Bobbo.

We're laughing near you. :)

contact

I think it was the main character of the movie Contact who said "If we're the only life in the entire universe, what a waste of space!" or something like that.

I don't know if I believe ET's visit Earth and perform anal probes (with knitting needles) on us. But I do think the odds are in favour of other life out there, somewhere.
