Yeah, like I feel safe in a Uber...

[QUOTEIn the lengthy report, which divides sexual misconduct into 21 categories but focuses on the five most serious, Uber said it recorded 235 rapes last year and thousands more reports of assault that could involve unwanted touching, kissing or attempted rape. The reports involved drivers and passengers. The company tallied roughly 6,000 reports of those types of assault in 2017 and 2018.

The report also examined other safety categories, including violent crimes such as physical assaults and motor-vehicle deaths. Uber said there were 107 motor-vehicle fatalities in 2017 and 2018, with a total of 97 fatal crashes involving users on the app. The company also said there were 19 fatal physical assaults over the same time period, during which it said an average of more than 3.1 million trips took place each day.][/QUOTE]

Uber, like Facebook, is a skeevy company.

I actually looked into doing a little bit of work for them on the side, as my car meets their requirements, and I thought it might be fun, however a search indicated to me that i would be at risk as a woman so, no deal.

As a woman...lol

Good one, gavgives. :)

I've used uber like maybe 5 or 6 times and they were fine experiences as cab rides go but nothing about it made me think I gotta use them all the time or anything and I've never liked the company. Convenience is one thing, having no idea whose car you're getting into is quite another. As a man it doesn't bother me a whole lot but if I were female there's no way I'd use them alone.

NOBODY believes you're a bitch. Nobody.

I wonder how many of those incidents involved foreign born drivers?

I've used Uber 4 times when I took my car to the dealership for recall work. All 4 drivers were foreign born. My experiences were all positive, the cars were clean and the drivers were friendly and knowledgeable of the street layouts. But 100% foreign born seemed like an unusually high percentage to me.

Some Third World types think they have a cultural right to invade any pussy in sight.

*Laughs* Small, weak liberal "men" are always frightened by independent women with strong opinions.

Probably had engineering degrees. :)

My generation was taught stranger danger. Don't get in a car with a stranger. Don't hitch hike. Now we call a stranger and jump in their car!

In 2004 85% of the sexual assault cases in Norway were perpetrated by immigrants even though they were less than 5% of the population. The percentages were very similar across all of the nations that then published that data. In 2005 virtually all Euro-zone nations ceased making that data available to the public. They were afraid of the public becoming "prejudiced." Ya think?

In spite of the fact that the governments of those nations now withhold that information from the public, the public is well aware of what's happening in and to their nations. YouTube is taking videos reporting those assaults down as fast as they can be uploaded. One of the reasons that the "immigrant" backlash is building in virtually all of the nations that engaged in what amounts to unlimited immigration policy.

However the media lambasted the POTUS because he chided the French President, offering him all the ISIS people that he wanted?

I got the 'joke" and though that it was was spot on. :)

Even though the link you provided shows you'd be in no more risk than walking down your street.
