I still remember my minister and I doing that sketch at our church talent quest one year. By the end we could barely hold back our laughter, but the crowd was dead silent, bar the most conservative guy in the church who was almost rolling with laughter!

Just wanted to give a quick update ... both of my submissions were approved and are online now. Yeah!

The one titled Trucker's Delight was held up because of some spelling errors (always, spell-check after last edit, eh?).

The one titled Just Like Ol' Times has gotten bad feedback from a reader because it was categorized under "Incest/Taboo" instead of "Gay Male" as I intended. One reader felt cheated because he went looking for an incest story and was "tricked" into a "gay" story. I submitted it as "Gay Male" but it was posted as "Incest/Taboo" because it involves two (male) cousins.

Anyway ... thought I'd give an update. Hope you all have a great day!

You are understandably between a rock and another rock on this categorization. I believe the Lit. policy is to put any incest into that category. But gay male readers gravitate to the one Gay Male category for their reads, and there are readers in other categories who take out their knives at the mere sniff of anything gay male in the other categories. (It's even hard writing MMF to the Group Sex category.)

Laurel has shown understanding about this dilemma however, and if you PM her, she might move the story into the GM category for you.

The PM (Private Messages) function is at the top right of this screen. I've never sent a PM here, so I'm not sure how you create an address to Laurel there. (Some here say they chat with her frequently, so maybel they can tell you how to address a PM to her). Laurel has PMed me, though, on this very issue, saying she knew the GM posting was a problem and asking for ideas--so, I'm fairly certain she would give you a sensitive hearing on this specific story. You might also try the "Contact Us" button at the bottom right of this page. If it's there, the theory is that it should work.

Yes, I flew the Blackbird in the early 70s--briefly. In Southeast Asia, out of Utapao and, further north, Kadena--initially out of Offutt (I wasn't AF, though). Been to any of those?

Way cool about you flying the "Black Bird." I was a refueler in the AF ... served mainly in England. An SR touched down once at my base (RAF Lakenheath). Very impressive to watch her take off!! Inverted climb right after nose gear off the ground!!

Whew! Some of those readers REALLY don't like gay stories popping up in their Incest/Taboo stories!!

I would just have her put a warning at the top of it stating that it is a gay incest story. That should keep most of the bad comments away (nothing stops trolls though )

Update

Hello all - just wanted to say thanks to those who helped me/encouraged me to get in touch with Laurel about re-categorizing my story. She did.

I'm glad because I was getting some really negative feedback from some guys who went to read a hetero incest story and ended up with more of a "gay male" story ... and the didn't like it (and their ratings/votes showed it as well as their comments!).

I think the story was fairly well-written. But I don't think it will ever recover from the negative voting it has received from being miscategorized.

Oh well ... I really wrote it for "me" anyway
