The presents will come when you cuddle the grandchildren you wouldn't have seen if you'd kept on smoking. (And yes, I'm a smoker, and yes, I should quit, too.) But congratulations, truly, on quitting. You're a strong person - but we all already knew that. :nana:

Congrats! My hubby's quit date was yesterday. He had quit for 2 years, but the stresses of work and bumpy spots in our relationship put him back on them last year. I'm hoping this is the last time he'll have to quit and he is too :)

:rose:

Good luck!

Wonderful! :nana: :nana: :nana:

As an ex-smoker (16 years on, now 15 years free) I know how difficult it is.

:D Neon

Stay strong! First 90 days are critical. And the desire to smoke never goes away.

The desire finally did go away for me, but it took almost 10 years - last vestiges, waking up in terror after dreaming that I'd just had a cigarette - haven't had one of those for at least 5 now. (And my withdrawals were bad enough to give me aural and visual hallucinations.) KC, the COOLEST thing is when people who never knew you as a smoker tell you that they can't imagine you ever putting one in your mouth. Again, you go, grrl! :D Neon

Congrats! Quitting was probably the most difficult thing I ever did.

Oh my gosh! I'm so incredibly proud of you! <pounces & snuggles> :D Keep going. <goes off to find the ribbon you run through at the end of a race> I'm sure we'll have a use for this in a little while. ;)

Congratulations beautiful lady!

Stubborn can be a very good thing...in the right moments. WOW did you ever choose a right moment...for a good cause.
