1) Who do you report it to when there seems to be a glitch in things? I ran across a hot story recently that I wanted to give feedback to its author, but when I clicked on his/her name, all I got was a big blank space and no box to put the message in.

2) I've noticed on various stories--the last one I submitted and a recent one ("Got Rice?")--that the italicization was messed up, probably due to the story having been submitted with Italics which then had to be replaced with html tags, and someone didn't close one of them out so that large patches of the story ended up in italics which should not have. Would it make the techies' jobs any easier if I were to send in my next story in plain text with html codes? I sent Literotica an e-mail but nobody has answered me.

The best way to submit a story that includes italics is to use copy and paste into the text box on the submission form -- that allows you to immediately preview the story and confirm that the italics tags are in the right place.

See my how to essay: http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=57781

Or Alex De Kok's essay on adding italics and bold type to your story.

I didn't think you could use html codes with the stories.

You might want to take these questions to the Stories forum.

Laurel allows some limited use of HTML, primarily italics, bold, and centering tags to be coded by the authors -- it saves her a lot of work.

Links, hotlinked pictures, **********, fancy fonts, and that type thing will get stripped out if included without prior approval.

Thanks, Harold; that's the answer I was looking for. I am not into fancy fonts--I'm a Times New Roman girl--or **********, and as far as illustrations go, if I can't paint a good picture with words alone I pure give up. I just don't want to have happen what happened with "Encore" and "Got Rice?"--Italicization in the wrong place.

Putting in the html tags is something I'm perfectly capable of doing, and it is probably more practical than cutting and pasting, as all my stuff seems to average in the 8K word neighborhood.

As a test of the scripts before they were installed, I submitted a 250,000 word document through the copy and paste option. The primary limitation is the size of of your clipboard buffer.

As far as Times New Roman goes, Laurel won't let you use that font -- the primary font for the Lit stories is Verdana TT with Arial, Helvetica and Sans Serif as the alternates.

I'm aware that everything I've submitted in Times New Roman has come out as something else, probably Helvetica, but so far that's never been a problem.
