a title in search of a story. Please feel free to claim it.

I picture it as a " Loving Wives" story about a hollow farce of a marriage, but see that as just too sad at best, bitter at worst. Not great Lit Mmaterial. Maybe someone else can do better with it.

How about the two strangers sharing a zip code and a name? They could be receiving mail meant for the other and decide to exchange the misdelivered items. They meet, and sparks fly and....things progress from there.

This setup works for any kind of combination, FF, MM, or MF, though with MF you would have to pick names like 'Chris' (Christine/Christopher) or 'Pat' (Patrick/Patricia), etc. This could create some humorous situations - on one side of town, a man turns to his wife and says "Is there something you want to tell me honey? I know we barely speak anymore, but when did you subscribe to Field and Stream and Playboy?"; on the other side of town, a woman asks her husband about the delivery of People magazine and some women's shoe catalogs in his name.

Or something like that. :)

aw...my title is TOO subtle I guess...the concept assumed the two "strangers" are in fact spouses who are now distanced , mentally and emotionally but not physically.

your ideas are interesting though.

LOL...yup, too subtle (for me, anyway).

How about changing your title to "Two strangers sharing a..." mailbox/house/address/roof/ or something else that shows that they live together, but aren't really 'together'?

But it is no longer my title, except in that vague scary way a child is still your child after they grow up and move away. I posted it here as an aorphan, free for the taking. If no one welse chimes in soon, if you want it, it is yours.
