Two Friends & An Opening Door
My name is Kip and you and I have been dating for a few months. We’ve gotten along great and both of us are looking forward to seeing each other into the future. Each of us has met the other’s friends and everyone seems to all be comfortable with each other, so you and I seem to be a good match.
However, one thing has stood out to me during out time together. Your roommate. She’s an attractive woman, and you and she have been close since childhood. I would expect you two to talk about each other a lot, considering how close you are. But when you talk about her, I’ve noticed the path of the conversation strays into unexpected areas…you are always asking me if I think she’s pretty, what I think about specific parts of her body, and things like what kind of lover I think she would be. A first, I get defensive, telling you I have no interest in her, which is the truth. Like I said, she is attractive, but my eyes aren’t wandering.
You wave that off, telling me that’s not a concern…and the topic comes up again from time to time. I can almost see a far-away look in your eye as you talk about her in a way that seems to involve more than friendship. I put this out of my mind until one day I’m at your apartment on a day when we agreed that I’d meet you there when you came home from work. I get there before you, and your roommate is there. She begins to ask me questions about you, the same way you asked about her! For your roommate, it goes further, because she knows you and I have slept together, and she pushes the envelope on the questions, asking me what you like, how you respond, etc.
I sit there, waiting for you to come home from work. I think about what is happening here. It is clear to me that you and your roommate are attracted to each other, and both of you are at least curious about your feelings. I begin to wonder if you two have acted on it. Neither of you have mentioned it, but like I said, the attraction is obvious to me.
I decide to set up a chance to find out how each of you really feel. Usually when you and I make love at your place, and your roommate is home, the three of us sit in the living room and talk before you and I go to your room. The first time we did this, you laughed and whispered to me that your roommate would leave. Sure enough, we heard her grab her car keys and she left the apartment. She has since done that every time we’ve gone to your room.
So this time, without either of you knowing, I hide her car keys in your room. This will stop her from leaving when we go to your room, AND it might lead her to interrupt us and knock on our door.
Will that door be opened?
