On Tuesday, Trump tweeted that "There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-in-Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent," a claim that has been debunked by fact-checkers and news organizations. He continues his remarks in another tweet, stating that it will be a "Rigged election."

A label appears under both tweets that states "Get the facts about mail-in ballots." Clicking on the warning notice directs users to a page that state that fact-checkers say there isn't any evidence that mail-in ballots are linked to voter fraud. Trump also falsely states in the tweets that California will send mail-in ballots to "anyone living in the state, no matter who they are or how they got there" when only registered voters will receive ballots. States such as Oregon, Utah and Nebraska have also already adopted voting by mail.

A Twitter spokeswoman said in a statement that the decision is in line with how the company approaches misinformation on its site, which includes adding warning notices and labels depending on the likelihood and severity of harm a tweet could cause.

Twitter's actions against Trump's tweets will also likely increase tensions between the company and conservative users, who allege that the social network suppresses conservative speech. Twitter has repeatedly denied those allegations. Earlier this month, Trump tweeted that the "Radical Left" is in control of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google and said his administration is working on a solution.

The White House didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. Twitter's move comes on the same day that the company came under fire for not removing tweets by Trump that falsely suggest Joe Scarborough, a former US congressman, may have murdered staffer Lori Klausutis in 2001. Klausutis died when she was 28 years old after she suffered from an abnormal heart rhythm, fell and hit her head on a desk, according to Politifact. Timothy Klausutis, Lori's husband, wrote a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on May 21 asking the company to pull down Trump's tweets, but the company said that it didn't violate its rules.

If twitter doesn't get its act together it may find that it's going to be prohibited from getting its act together.

Yeah, prevent a company from running its business because Trump IS one big hissy fit. Fucking commies.

Derpy is not doing well during the quarantine as evident by his passive-aggressive lashing out and overall piss poor quality of posts.

How would Trump express himself without Twitter, Derpy?

Trump: the proverbial "Sow's Ear." The guy has no sound character. Newer has, and never will.

Regulation in the marketplace is a function of Congress. If the market won't self regulate, lawmakers will do it for them.

Alphabet is already being investigated by the DOJ. I suspect another Ma Bell breakup is in Google's future.

And he's having (yet another) twitter meltdown about it.

Oh my... Trump is tweeting! Call the twitter police and STOP HIM before he does something that everyone can do...

And he's having (yet another) twitter meltdown about it.

It would be fucking hilarious if it drove him obviously, undeniably, certifiably crazy. Not that he isn't, but it is so far overlooked as best as everyone can, just waiting for the election.

Gee, I wonder if any 'red' states are sending out mail in ballots, and if so, why isnt trump worried about voter fraud in those states?

I was amused by the Idiot claiming that "telling all of these people ... for whom to vote," which is literally the point of all political campaigns, is illegal.

Like I said, Trump is keeping Twitter afloat. The left has it on 24/7 to be the first to voice their displeasure. :)

I'm not the one having a panic attack because the Prez is tweeting...

You seem to be having perception issues.

And apparently projection issues.

It would be fucking hilarious if it drove him obviously, undeniably, certifiably crazy. Not that he isn't, but it is so far overlooked as best as everyone can, just waiting for the election.

He's getting more erratic.

There is quite a difference between "vote for me" and "put a check mark in this box here".

That you can neither see that, nor distrust a system that allows it, is telling about your political morality quotient.

That wasn't even logical.

You win Harpy. You are officially the most official.

Official what? Well, that's up to the audience.

So the cards that both political parties send out, listing all of the party's candidates (including for judicial offices, which are technically nonpartisan in Ohio) and which are designed to be convenient to carry to your polling place — those are illegal?

BTW, Trump has a very long history of accusing other people of things he's done himself, or is contemplating doing. So when you see these very specific concerns of his — "mail boxes will be robbed, ballots will be forged & even illegally printed out & fraudulently signed" — best pay attention. Remember he just installed a crony as Postmaster General.

Knock off the deflection crap. NO ONE, not even you, mentioned that. This is about mail-in ballots.

Also, the cards are intended to be an aide de memoir. They don't "tell you" to "mark this box". They are intended to suggest to you that those candidates indicated on the card have the same political ideas and goals that you have. Nothing more, nothing less.

So, yes, they are quite "legal".

They are also a long long long way from someone in a nursing home pointing out the box for old blind Mrs. Grundy to make her mark in. Or doing it for her. Sometimes after she's died and been buried for a few years.
