I was thinking of a story that goes something like this:

A woman is mentally insane and is put in an asylum, a real creepy place, and her doctor is this mysterious and almost creepy guy who is attracted to her (think a younger Anthony Hopkins or Jeremy Irons). When she goes in for therapy sessions, he screws with her head and eventually starts making love to her.

I think a sstory like this would rely more on plot than sex, but it could get really steamy. What do ya think?

Power plays

You could prolly make this work, but I may not read it. I have problems with characters that abuse their postions of trust to have sex with thier charges. I find this more distaistful than other nonconsent situations, as it fucks the whole person and not just the body. It turns trust into a tool of manipulation, and is far too often reflected in the real world. Now power exchanges, freely given and taken,I can get into.

Go for it!

That sounds like a great idea. A story like that could really take you to some dark places if you let it, but could provide a wonderful basis from which to springboard a really twisted relationship.
I'd definately read it.

Just for clarification...I am planning on not-glorifying the relationship. It will be very illicit and very wrong in the story, and I think my female character will get the upper hand in the end.

However, I have 20 ideas in my head and am working on three...this may take a while.

Thanks!

Good! It will be hard to pull off and stay beliveable, but if you can do it, very rewarding. I'm a little touchy on the subject, so don't let my prejudices change the plot the way you have it layed out in your head.

Sounds good

In any case, it sounds like you can get some good conflict from the storyline. The challenge for me would be having strong and clear ideas about the two principle characters before writing. You are talking about some complex head games, keeping the characters consistent won't be easy.
Good Luck,

How about she is put in the asylum against her will(she being completely sane)to benefit her brother and his pocket book, her treatment would be very unique and perhaps designated by her brother??? We could twist and turn this one.... if not, no prob....

I have gone on with a completely different story which I am now obsessed with writing and it may even turn into a novel.
I might write the idea I posted here in the future, and maybe not. Either way, if anyone wants to run with the idea, please do. Have at it.
