Twisted films???

Any of them. I especially like Jane Greer in Out of the Past and Claude Rains in Notorious as manipulators.

Don't forget Postman and Double Indemnity.

Though the quiet man was definitely a good film, with a very large D/s element in it...

The fact that Maureen O'Hara is an attractive, fiesty redhead is just icing on the cake for me ;)

Nothing better than a good fiesty Irish woman who needs tamin', don't you think? And, if she's got red hair, that behind is white as milk and then marks up nicely.

But, maybe I digress...:)

Well, you must be in your 20s? But then, you could rent the movies and fast forward to those scenes. Too bad you don't care for the Duke. And, he wasn't a great actor. He played every part the same way, just about. But, he was the Duke. I guess you had to be there.;)

20s? Flattery will get you everywhere -- but that isn't flattery. I could have seen John Wayne movies first run.

How about Fellini's Satyricon ?

(Does it count as bondage is the characters are really slaves?)

John Wayne, huh? You learn something new everyday. I might have to give an old cracker a chance.

I did a search and got this...

http://www.thespankingnews.com/entertainment/movies.html

but I'm wondering if it's the site DVR was talking about
DVR? DVR? DVR stands for Digital Video Recorder! I'm DVS. That's short for DeViouS, if you were wondering. But, that's OK. I've been called BVD, DMV and on. I pretty much go with the flow, now.

No, the site I was refering to was the one I've linked, below. It looks as if he's recently updated it. The list I was refering to at one time could be saved and printed out. It was over 20 pages long.

I've got a date this weekend and if it goes well we're already thinking of doing a mainstread with D/s undertones movie night. He's shocked I haven't seen The Quiet Man yet and knows it by heart kinda like I know It's A Wonderful Life by heart. LOL We'll see how it goes... so far we're clicking.

I can't believe I've got a date through Yahoo personals with someone who is not married, intersting, I have stuff in common with, sounds sane, AND is a Dom. How did that happen?

Oh and hullo Harry dear. ;) :rose:

I met the boyfriend extradoridinare at bondage.com and he's smart, funny, sexy and dominant. It is possible to find good people online.

That list you posted DVS is great so thanks... but the writers of it should have shortened it or made it sortable.

I met my most favorite sub on line. She answered an ad I had posted. Quite brave of her, don't you think to meet up with me? :D She was sexy, very smart, just the right tempermant (opinionated, really) quite lovely, the perfect everything. And, she was a newbie, so I got to train her to my specs.

Yes, I agree on the sorting part. Shortening it would have defeated the reason for the name "The Really BIG List of Spanking in Cinema". I would guess it started out small, and before they realized, it was larger than they could convert to a sorting situation.

I'm sure they would allow another party to add a sorting link, if you (or anyone else) is willing. It's not a small task by any means, but it would be a burden of love.

How about Blue Velvet? -- the 1986 movie, not the one about the horse and Liz Taylor, lol...
"An innocent (Kyle MacLachlan) gets mixed up in a small-town murder mystery involving a kinky nightclub chanteuse (Isabella Rossellini) and a kidnapper (Dennis Hopper) with a penchant for snorting helium. One of the most bizarre (and critically acclaimed) movies of the 1980s, Blue Velvet inspired a generation of independent filmmakers with its dark look behind the all-American veneer of small-town life."

I have that on video. One of my favorites, if a bit strange. My favorite scene is when they invade a home, tie up the couple and have some fun. The man is gagged and made to watch as they gag the woman and then cut off her red jump suit (she's conveniently not wearing any undies ) and fuck her. Ah, the good ol' days. Yes, a rather kinky movie, but no spanking. Instead, the kinks are a bit stranger and darker.

The little-know-or-heard-of film....

"Killing Me Softly" with Joseph Fiennes.

Obscure movie....but most definitely D/s. I highly recommend it.

I've always been curious about Boxing Helena, but too much of a thriller for me to actually watch. (I can't watch thrillers or horrors.)

Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down is kinda fun. A bit dated though.

Oooh, some of my faves have already been mentioned.

I tend to think also of particularly power-laden moments in otherwise straight films. Certainly they abound since mainstream film is quite fond of tying up the damsel and putting her in distress not just because the audience wants to see the hero get bad-ass but because they like to watch the girl tormented by the villain --- but that could put pretty much every action or thriller or horror movie ever made on the list. I'll try to narrow my options a bit:

Like this scene from Wild At Heart:

Willem Dafoe is taunting Laura Dern, making her beg him to fuck her while he pinches her nipple, all the while he's sleazing at her with those horrible decaying teeth and when she finally surrenders he says "Ha! Just kidding!" and sampers off like a clown leaving her both sexually frustrated and completely disgusted with herself.

Then there's the whole thumb-sucking scene in the remake of Cape Fear with DeNiro and Juliette Lewis.

Dangerous Liasons -- the Close/Malcovich/Pfeiffer version --- that's all about power and control.

Rosemary's Baby yep, you heard me. Nice yuppie couple and the husband prostitutes his wife to Satan in quite a hot little dream sequence.

Videodrome and From Beyond, not great films but they have their moments --- particularly Videodrome. FB has bondage clothing, but Videodrome has a great little maso scene with Deborah Harry (yes, Blondie) begging for a little abuse. It's been years since I've seen these films and I tend to doubt they are overall particularly good films but we're just looking for theme here, right?

If you're just looking for mixes of bizarre sex and violence the 70's tradition of sexploitation flics offers up a ton of stuff. Any of the Ginger films, quite a few of the Emmanuelle movies although Laura Gesmer is the least erotic beautiful naked woman I've ever seen in a film. Ilsa the She-Wolf series, the Cannibal genre, the Nazi prison camp genre, Women in Prison flicks and plenty of supposed cop-dramas which were really just an excuse to visit a chain of strip joints and indulge in fantasies about the White Slave Trade.

Pretty much any Barbarian movie or any movie ever made by Roger Corman. I'm a huge fan of the cheese-fest Barbarian Queen and some of the giallo films out of Italy have some hot moments --- but don't be expecting good films. They're not. They suck, but they have hot stuff in them.

You might want to check out Mom & Pop's Video Bondage Shoppe through the link at JollyRoper.com It's a huge although not exhaustive list of films with bondage in them --- many of them mainstream movies. Another great place for cult films is Cinefear or Luminous Video. I'm not providing links because I think that's against the rules but they're easily searchable through Google.

BH is certainly dark, but I don't recall being particularly frightened by it. I also don't recall being particularly aroused but it was a good film and I enjoyed it. I did scoff at all the feminist outcry over it. Clearly none of those affronted fems had even seen the film.

Sure, there are the "B" cult movies that are BDSM based, but, I thought we were looking for more mainstream films that happened to have BDSM scenes in them, for whatever reason.

Many of the "Emanuel" series of movies and the "Ginger" series movies (in many of which the bad guys Tie Ginger up, in various stages of undress) have such scenes, but they aren't especially worth sitting through with popcorn and a friend.

Now, if you are only looking for such scenes, there are gobs of movies out there, and like Bridgeburner said, look to those "Bs" filmed in the 70s. Shit, even I remember watching Showtime late at night and seeing quite a few. That's where I saw my first Emanuel movie.

Now, if you are looking for the more obvious, there are those staring Marilyn Chambers like "Behind the Green Door", "Inside Marilyn Chambers" just to mention a couple from a classic BDSM porn star. In my opinion, anything with Marilyn in it was surely enough to keep your interest. But, none of her movies were even close to mainstream. Trust me on that.

Older Dracula movies had their style. Busty victims would look him in the eye and be overpowered. They would even open their clothing to make their neck more available to his fangs. Classics of mind control, those were.

Even the vampire movies of more recent years will most always have the victim bound or somehow rendered helpless so she (most always it's a she) can be drained of her life's blood. These have always been a little out there for me, but they do draw one's attention, if you like controlling sweet innocent minds. :D
