Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is the activist Left’s number one congressional target this election cycle because he poses an existential threat to progressivism, a prominent professional left-wing organizer suggests.

West is “a national rising star in the Tea Party,” Becky Bond explained during a panel discussion at the Campaign for America’s Future’s recent Take Back the American Dream confab in Washington, D.C.

The famously outspoken retired Army lieutenant colonel with the special talent for getting under Democrats’ skin “is going to start to define” what the Republican Party stands for, said Bond, president of the well-funded Credo SuperPAC.

...

The danger, as Bond sees it, is that if West’s brand of politics catches on nationwide, American politics may shift rightward.

“And he’s a freshman,” Bond said. “If we don’t take him down now, he’s raising millions of dollars, and he’s going to set what the new normal is for the Republican Party.”

Bond bragged that her group is harassing West (“bird dogging him at every attempt,” in her words) in order to waste his campaign’s resources. “We’re getting to [West and Tea Party-backed congressmen] at every level.”

It is not hyperbole to say that liberals loathe the solidly conservative first-term congressman with the fire of a thousand suns. Credo SuperPAC calls West “racist, sexist, anti-science, hypocritical and downright crazy.”

West is being targeted as part of Credo SuperPAC’s “Take Down the Tea Party Ten” campaign. Eight enemies have been selected so far. The other Tea Party-friendly Republican congressmen with bullseyes painted on them are Steve King (Iowa), Dan Lungren (Calif.), Mike Fitzpatrick (Penn.), Joe Walsh (Ill.), Frank Guinta (N.H.), Sean Duffy (Wisc.), and Chip Cravaack (Minn.).

CREDO Mobile president Michael Kieschnick, a member of George Soros’s Democracy Alliance, boasts that his activist network has 2.5 million activists and has given upwards of $70 million to left-wing groups since 1985.

CREDO SuperPAC has taken in almost $2 million so far, according to the Federal Election Commission database. Patricia Richardson of TV’s Home Improvement and movie actress Stockard Channing have given the PAC $1,000 and $750, respectively.

West’s enemies formed a new super PAC earlier this month with the express purpose of taking West out. Anti-American billionaire George Soros has reportedly pledged $5 million to the “Dump West” super PAC.

Bad KOCH Brothers!

BA-a-a-a-a-D!

A dishonest man who deals in half-truths and whose true plans and motivations aren’t known is about to get his hands on nuclear weapons. I’m speaking, of course, of the scenario for every U.S. presidential election for the past several decades.

Why are we okay with politicians lying to us? Like with Obama’s claim that his “you didn’t build that” speech was actually pro-business and Romney’s switch from the left to the right on many issues, we know they’re not being honest with us, but all we do is shrug our shoulders. Lying is so expected that the politicians don’t even try to hide it very well, because they know our reaction to being lied to will be to simply roll our eyes and say, “Oh, you rascally, untrustworthy politicians; here’s the national checkbook and some nuclear launch codes.”

This is insanity. We need to take a much more adversarial approach with our politicians. During presidential elections, there’s always a poll about which candidate people would rather have a beer with, but I wouldn’t drink with either of them out of fear that as soon as I turned my head, they’d put something in my drink. You’ve seen what these people do to our money; they’re certainly not above giving us a roofie and doing weird stuff to us while we’re unconscious. These people constantly try to trick us and are not our friends, and we need to treat them appropriately. Friends don’t lie to you, boss you around, and then spend trillions of dollars they don’t have and expect your kids to pay for their spending. Most enemies won’t even do that.

So how should we treat politicians? Well, let’s think about this logically. If you had a terrorist in custody and knew he was lying to you, would you just throw up your hands and say, “That’s just how terrorists are, God bless ‘em!”? No, you would hand that terrorist over to the CIA, and, using techniques that a man who shot his friend in the face with a shotgun thought were legally justifiable, they would get the truth out of him. Well, presidential candidates will potentially have even more destructive power than any terrorist, and we also know they are lying to us. Thus we should be determined to get the truth from them by any means necessary.

I nominate Allen West for the job of vetting the candidates!

:)

...using techniques that a man who shot his friend in the face with a shotgun thought were legally justifiable...
I don't care much for Allen '80 communists' West, but that's some funny shit right there. :D

Allen's future is up to us, not you. You don't have a tenth of his intellect.

I can see how some types of people can confuse machismo posing and blowhard rhetoric with charachter and intellect, but most of them don't actually know how to type. So cred to you.

Another shocker that might indicate a change in Republican politics will occur to day in Texas. We will know tomorrow if we wake up to find Ted Cruz the new United States Senator from Texas. He's in a runoff against Dewhurst the Rino.

He won.

;) ;)
