What a completely strange experience!
The nearer the time got to doing it, the more my sceptical side began whispering to me that it's all a load of codswhallop.
So there I was, sitting in a comfy chair, waiting for nothing to happen, listening to this hypnodude talking about what we were going to achieve, thinking he had ok legs and a nice ass....
And the next thing I knew, it was 70 minutes later!
And best of all, I redid my pain test 5 minutes after finishing with hypnoguy, and honestly had to answer that my pain level was zero
To be completely honest, I never expected it to work.

For the first time in 23 years, I have no feeling (perception?) of pain in my back or upper legs!

Apparently, he's 'implanted' a few techniques that my brain will subconciously revert to doing if/when I start to get pain again. I won't know that I'm doing them, it'll just happen.

I have a followup in a week at the pain clinic, then another one a month later and again at 3, 6, and 12 months, to see how the hypnotherapy holds up over time.

Right now, I am seriously excited to NOT have pain, and kinda spooked that it appears to have worked

Just don't think too hard about the possibility that it may be a psychosomatic thing, similar to the placebo effect...

I'm not trying to think how it worked, I'm just walking around marvelling at having absolutely no pain!

I don't imagine I can figure it out anyway!
70 minutes simply disappeared!

Now that I have to admit I am no longer a sceptic, I may have to explore hypnosis for other things.

Why not? It happens to me when women cut my hair.

Did he make you think you were a chicken and stuff?

If I had the power of hypnosis all you bitches would be sucking my fat cock.

It doesnt work like that. People dont lose their good sense and good taste when hypnotized.

You know they make you cluck like a chicken toward the end of your session?

...and right below this, your thread "Nessie!!!"

Hmmm.

I'm inclined to agree.
I am not running around clucking like a chicken.
But I am pain-free :)

Enjoy!

The late Milton Erickson MD pioneered the schemes to eliminate pain. His patients were terminal cancer patients in the grips of severe pain.

It has been 5 hours, and I have not needed a painkiller or nerve blocker!
I am officially amazed :D

Sure. But his stuff was as unscientific as it comes. I don't intend to start shit, b/c what works for someone works.
