Turned on by writing itself

So not all the time, but often enough, when I'm writing and it's going well (maybe the writing itself isn't any good, but I'm really into it), I find myself becoming physically aroused, even if what I'm writing is not at all erotic or even romantic.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
I mean, I expect it to happen when I'm writing about sex, but not by just enjoying writing itself.
Tried to do a few searches online and couldn't find much of anything. I vaguely recall reading a book on writer's block and hypergraphia, and the author mentioning a woman with hypergraphia who would end up having orgasms while writing, but that's about it.
So, figured I'd come here and ask.

Yes, certainly, orgasms while writing. If I don't, I can't expect readers to.

I have too much editing eyes on my own stuff; the analytical mind doesn't shut off. I get turned on more from nailing something literary more than sexually.

Now reading works by others here....that is a totally different and very pleasant matter!

When I get the chance to write academic papers I get very excited and aroused. My eyes shine as I bounce the ideas around. I get so frustrated if I remember a good reference but I can't quite trace it back to where it came from, I start to wonder if I made it up, I know I mustn't just put it in unreferenced if I read it somewhere. I hold my breath sometimes as I get the words on the page. I burst out laughing when I get a good idea down well and I go: No, no, no! when I had a great idea in my head and it comes out badly.

I love to write. I put as the motto on my About Me page: writing is a dream come true.

I will admit that while writing does not necessarily get me aroused, my arousal does usually help my writing. I usually can be much more descriptive during my sex scenes if I'm a worked up a bit.

, I've been meaning to read that site for ages! I love academics in comic strips. I love Professor Tarragon in Tintin and the Seven Crystal Balls. (Shut up! it is a children's book!) I love it when he says, "Yes, I've been meaning to write a paper on the subject." If all the papers we were meaning to write got written ....!

There are times I've started to become aroused during the actual build up. The conversation or event leading up to it starts to get to me.

At that point I almost feel like a voyeur and the characters real people I'm actually watching rather than writing about.

When I hit that point (an in the zone type of thing) I feel as if the scene is rolling before my eyes and my fingers can't keep up to the visuals.

And at that point I'm as worked up as I hope the reader will be in anticipation of the characters getting down and dirty.

I usually get aroused by writing. Most writing sessions end in orgasm for me, if I'm in a place private enough to allow it. Rereading my work afterwards doesn't do as much for me, though.
