Two of my stories got bounced back because I dared to mention my Patreon page (no link) in my closing Author's Notes. That was on the 12th. Grudgingly, I removed said mentions through the edit function and resubmitted them the same day. Now, a week later, they are still pending. What gives? Also, in the old Control Panel, you saw the eventual "go live" date, which I'm missing from the new version.

Hold your breath

It takes a week, sometimes more, for an edit to go through the system as they are regarded as not being as important as first submissions and “pending” should change to “new” 24 hours before publication. New stories can take anywhere from two to six days depending on one or more circumstances.

Yes, Edits go to the back of the queue, usually a week or so. Although I had one go through in two days not so long ago, which was a nice surprise.

You might have confused matters though, coz Edits are on stories already up. Yours might have been better managed as a submission, as it was knocked back in the first place.

The NCP shows the publication date, but these days a new story is just "Pending" until it goes live.

Finally. My Geek Day 2019 story is back up again. Took "only" eight days for it to get re-approved. Total wait time for the so far unpublished follow-up, which will go live tomorrow, was 11 days.

Lesson learned from all this: Make sure stories are not sent back.
