I've wondered that too, but I always assumed that if I had had a hernia the purpose of the procedure would have been painfully obvious to me.

It's like when he sticks his finger in my ass. I assume he knows what he's looking for. Some things you just have to take by faith.

But if he kept pestering me to repeat the same investigations two or three times a week....yeah, I'd probably ask more questions.
