Sometimes it is better to have a liquid diet.....you know less calories and all the fun, without the guilt of over eating? LOL

Well, for as long as I can remember, my family has 7 fish for christmas dinner, along with the traditional things, potatoes, bread stuffing, vegetables, breads, and lots of red wine. Just all prepared a little differently.

jcgirl, I have the 7 fishes for Christmas Eve dinner (being from Philly). What 7 do you usually have?

Thanksgiving well it's an ordinary day over here.

Xmas. A boned out Goose, stuffed with a boned out Chicken, stuffed with a boned out Duck, stuffed with a boned out Pheasant (thats for the Adults to enjoy).
Turkey and Beef for those that want it (especialy the kids). Traditional Dry oak smoked Ham for all who have any room left (and for those little snacks between meals).

St Stephens (or Boxing day) December 26th.
Cold cuts of any of the above that are left, though in 4 years there has never been any of the Goose left by midnight on Xmas day.

Here in Denmark the traditional christmas dinner usually is:

Roast Pork and/or Duck
White potatoes
"Brown" potatoes. It's small boiled potatoes fried in sugar melted on a pan
½ peeled apples baked in the oven, with a bit of apple jelly in them
A sauce made on the juices from the meat
Thin Potatoe Chips heated in the oven

For dessert we get a kind of rice pudding, mixed with whipped cream, and some chopped almonds, and 1 whole almond. It's served with hot cherry sauce, and the one person that finds the almond, gets an "almond" gift.

Ohh I can't wait to get it again!! Yummy!!

And I'm gonna eat until I burst, and then eat some more.

About 22 lbs when full loaded. All meat, no bone, carve through the different color meats, serve heaped on the plate, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
