Tulsi - "Present"

I think she saw the writing on the wall and decided she didn't want a future in government. At least not here. She may go back to Samoa or wherever and do the grass skirt princess thing.

Gabbard's "present" vote wasn't a protest.

It was a dereliction of duty and a betrayal of her oath of office.

Desmond Tutu said:
If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.

everyone should vote how their hearts and morals dictate

most (if not all) of the republicans seem to lack morality and any semblance of backbone--and she lacked the guts to do what was right, doing only what she hoped would pay off for her, personally (imo).

in otherwords, i frikkin' agree with you.

I got it..... "everyone should vote how their hearts and morals dictate"

However, if those morals and hearts disagree with your ideology, then they should be ridiculed and condemned.

Socialist British national butters will maybe one day make just as fine an American socialist, that is if old Harry can ever skim enough off his mom's Social Security checks to pay butters' coyote off.

Sane people call that the center....not whackadoodle right wing.

Nah. The center are the currently wholly disenfranchised non-reactionary Republicans. And the not as disenfranchised but increasingly challenged establishment neolib Dems.

And Gabbard haaaaaaaaaaates both because of her warhawk per peeve. Admittedly not a bad reason to oppose them per se. But I fail to see how buddying up to the sycophants of a president she herself has called corrupt and unfit is the right way to express that.

If she voted NO she would be called a Russian asset
If she voted YES, it would have supported the one sided :" If it was not Russia, lets make it Ukraine" ( Belarus, Latvia, Moldova....etc.)

Voting "present" was her only choice ! Go Tulsi :)

She wasn't buddying up with them, thus the vote "present" instead of nay.

Contrary to popular lefty beliefs, not toeing the (D) narrative doesn't make one a Trumpster or a Nazi or a Putin puppet or any of the other insane and retarded shit the left pushes.

In fact it's that attitude which causes (D)'s to yell at anyone who questions them to go vote for Trump, and is going to cost them the 2020 election.

i can see how Tulsi's "present" vote would have enormous appeal to those sad folks lacking both backbone and the courage of their convictions. She definitely courting the "wuss vote".
