Tucker Carlson out: Host has left Fox News, network announces​

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has left his post, and his last show was Friday, the company announced in a news release.

The release said the two parties "have agreed to part ways." A rotating panel of people will host Fox News Tonight, the release said.

The news of Carlson's departure comes the week after Fox News settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems over its hosts' spreading of disinformation about the company.

My initial impression of Tucker Carlson was positive. I enjoy investigating different points of view. What I demand of a political commentator is honesty, however.

I'll wait to hear Tucker's side of the story. I've been waiting for this to happen for quite a while now and it had nothing to do with the election in my mind. Unless he was unwilling to accept less money in the future.

This source, Meygan Kelly whom I trust because she is a personal friend of Tucker's. She says Tucker is not yet fired. He's still under contract and cannot yet go out on his own. He has not been told the reason why. The word is Fox and Tucker are still in negotiations to decide the conditions of his exit.

I prefer "news" reporters. I want to hear the facts, have the 5 W's answered, sources reported and political b.s. set aside for "editorial" pages. Both were fired for possible political reasons. Don Lemon was stickily a sexist and racist and his reports were unstable. Tucker was also "editorial" and there are things he stated that I didn't agree with, but he was a lot more honest than the vast majority on TV and radio that we have to put up with. I am sure that Don like the ex governor of New York's baby brother will find an even worst trash news out let to go to. They (FOXX) under new leadership seem to fear Tucker as they try to keep him "under contract" so he can't go and make money for someone else. I'm sure both men will find other outlets. In the mean time I would really like to just once in this country listen to a real news broadcast not a bunch of political hacks.

A new article just appeared in Vanity Fair about why Tucker Carlson was kicked off Fox. It wasn't because his termination was a condition of the Dominion settlement. It was merely that lot of senior people at Fox personally loathed him, and increasingly they were having trouble selling his ad slots. They decided he was more trouble than he was worth and canned him.
