"The U.S. has done more for other people and received less in return than any nation in history by far," he said, then went on to explain how Omar's family were able to find refuge in America from the Marxist dystopia of Somalia in 1992.

Nevertheless, Carlson maintained that Omar is not grateful to the U.S. for its opportunities. "After everything America has done for Omar and for her family, she hates this country more than ever," he said. "In a recent piece in the Washington Post, the reporter put it this way: 'In Omar’s version, America wasn’t the bighearted country that saved her from a brutal war and a bleak refugee camp. It wasn’t a meritocracy that helped her attend college or vaulted her into Congress. Instead, it was the country that had failed to live up to its founding ideals, a place that had disappointed her and so many immigrants, refugees and minorities like her.'"

"If anything, that is an understatement," Carlson continued. "Omar isn't 'disappointed' in America. She's enraged by it. Virtually every public statement she makes accuses America of bigotry and racism. This is an immoral country, she says. She has undisguised contempt for the United States and for its people. That should worry you, and not just because Omar is now a sitting member of Congress. Omar is living proof that that the way we practice immigration has become dangerous to this country."

"So be grateful for Ilhan Omar, annoying as she is," Carlson concluded. "She’s a living fire alarm, a warning to the rest of us. We better change our immigration system immediately, or else."

Omar is the perfect example to prove how wise the Framers were to prohibit anyone but natural born citizens to ever become President. Alas, as more Dreamers near 35, I imagine that constitutional dictate will be challenged for amending.
