very wise words..... spoken from a person who is sensitive to the feelings of others... ;)

thank you so much babydoll... I have read many of your posts and you seem like a fabulous lady who is also very tolerant of others "quirks"... that is something we both have in common (other than photography)....

thought I would edit this post and share with all of you a saying that helps me each time I am tempted to say something that might hurt another... it is by Gerald Durrell...

"The world is as delicate & as complicated as a spider’s web. If you touch one thread you send shudders running through all the other threads. We are not touching the web; we are tearing great holes in it."

a very good reason to not put the negativity out there....

how bout if I just send you a plane ticket?
Sorry....I'm a bit old fashioned....I believe in getting to know people before I hop a plane for them. lol But please, do continue to talk. ;)

Normally I would go the same route and keep it in PM...not usually one to vent my issues with another in a public format...its just Brinnie and whoever Brinney is...have really irked me...esp with the whole Kurt Cobaine pic...that was just uncalled for and just hoping to call some attention to the matter as the mods have yet to even respond to her really except move one post

well Jag... I truly can relate to your frustration and I am glad that you do try to take the "gentler" route most of the time... it normally is more productive... the attacks in a public forum I feel are almost always counter productive as well as hurtful....
my advice to you is to em Manu or Laurel directly.... and put Brinnie on ignore... but my guess is that Brinnie will be allowed to continue because while she may irritate others at times, Lit is basicly a free board....
the only other advice I can give you is to just let it go... that may be hard as it seems that she has really gotton under you skin but if you can do it it will not only make you a stronger person but you just might even feel better...

yes.... actually me too.... I offered that partially in jest... always hard to quantify that emotion in such a one dimensional medium.... I guess I should get better with these emotioacon thingies....
maybe we should talk more... I actually have a friend arriving from the east coast (VA) in a matter of hours and he is staying for a week... it has taken me 20 years to get him back out here so I will not be around much at all.... but look for a pm next week.... sound good?

Feel free to talk whenever you like. :) You and your friend have a nice visit. :rose:

OOPS!...Somehow I missed your post until Clawhammer pointed it out...so sorry about that. Is that really you in the AV? Looks fun....from my point of view. lol I'd rather be IN the ocean than sailing OVER it. hehe But it does look like a lively place to visit. :)

yes... that is me in the AV... however, I can tell you that unless you have at a minimum of several years of stand-up ski riding experience in the rivers and then several more of just running the surf, you are best advised to not try to tackle the bigger rollers... the ski you see me on in the AV wound up getting destroyed and I cut it up for pieces...
As for being in the water, trust me, you spend a lot of time in the water (although not under it if that is what you are referring to)....
Oregon sure has it's ills (like we can't seem to fund our schools or take care of our mentally ill) but you are correct when you say it looks like a lively place.... lots of active outdoor stuff to do.... a great place to visit....

In the water or under the water is ok with me....just not that high above the water.....unless I'm attached to a parasailing. lol As for the school's and mentally ill....don't get me started. I'll get on a soapbox and never get down....I happen to be a special education teacher and, unlike some, I do take my job seriously and am passionate about it and my students' abilities. Ok, ok, ok....I promised no soapbox, so I'll stop there. lol I love anything outdoors....especially anything near water. I've not been to Oregon, but I eventually hope to hit all the states, so who knows......:) Oh...and I do hope you weren't hurt when the ski got destroyed. :rose:
