It is curious.
Maybe I need to look that up, then again, I don't grow watermelons.

This ought to raise some howls: https://pjmedia.com/trending/nature-90-nurture-10/

It already has, this is merely going to raise the volume. Biology itself is under attack by the SJW's. Look what happened to Brett Wienstien at Evergreen College. The rabid left is trying to run any biology prof. that discusses DNA and hertiability out of academia.

It will make no difference in a ademia. We will continue to discourage people from backgrounds that have historically excelled in academia from attending college while sending people who come from backgrounds that historically have shown no aptitude.

When you not only don't subsidize the sons of white engineers, but actually harrass them about their "privilege" and go so far as to decline admission, you get what we have. Engineers imported from Asia and the Indian subcontinent.

No amount of dumbing-down college to get the "right" mix of graduates is going to improve the outcomes determined by actual problem-solving aptitudes.

IQ is the absolute best predictor of aptitude, so it has to be discredited, despite the fact that as Jordan Peterson points out it is the most studied and best replicatable metric ever developed in the social sciences. If it is invalid, nothing in the social sciences is valid.

Teaching biology was not among the reasons implicated for why Bret Wienstein left Evergreen, ya fucknugget.

The "soft" sciences are focused only on desired outcomes. When the outcome results in unintended consequences they write very learned papers explaining why they didn't work, but will work if only everyone gets their mind right.
In the hard Sciences, we know that we cannot define pi as 3 in order to make Mathematics, Science and Engineering assessable to uneducated students without having serious repercussions.

Oh. Your understanding of the activity of the "soft sciences" also sucks.

The myth of crack babies was supported by studies of developmental issues tied to IQ. Never mind that the mothers (and fathers) were not from a pool of high IQ individuals.

Because it supported the holy sacrament of abortion using IQ as a qualifier to determine future quality of life and there before viability of a human being was no problem at all.

Measuring the IQs of the parents though can only be attributed to environment, not genetics.

Human beings are the only organism on the planet that human beings refuse to acknowledge have heritable characteristics.

Another thing that came out with that myth was the Scientific fact that Cocaine is not physically addictive. So the babies were simply not born crack addicts.

Well, there are at least now a growing number of instances when these disparate are turning on each other.

;)

Remember the old "Queen for a Day" TV show? That they would eventually try to 'out victim' each other was inevitable.

Bacon and coffee, perfect :)

And I have worked with some amazing Hatians, most of them are good people and I proudly call a couple my friends. I met them when they were here on summer work visas and I hope one day to see their country.
