Why is bringing bibles to school a big deal? Aren't students allowed to read anything they want in their freetime? Not trying to stir things up, but as long as it's not adult/hate material it's okay for students here to read anything as long as they are reading.

And it seems like only a couple of weeks ago you were uncovering your pool, summer went too fast and all the signs here are pointing to a hard winter.

The American Progressive hates religion and the religious.
The Bible, in a school where their children are is the equivalent of showing a vampire a cross.

Clutch those pearls, Chief!

Progressives don't "hate" religion...they simply recognized that America was founded on the principle of no state recognition of any one particular religion.

It's something the Founding Fathers came up with, so I realize you probably never heard of that concept.

That's a pretty damn broad statement, but no surprise, you are one of the most ignorant posters on here outside of the performance troll, he's mentally ill, so he doesn't count. You should know better.

You are willfully ignorant and proud, that is the worst type of ignorance. Shame on you. Stand tall and proud, demonstrate your ignorance, you foolish man.

Apparently advanced age does not always indicate wisdom, at least not in your case.

Many progressives believe religion should not be monopolized by the government. This country is NOT a theocracy, why don't you rightist males get it through your THICK skulls? We are not Iran.

We are a diverse nation, just because the majority of the "founding fathers" happened to be Christians, does not mean that this is a Christian nation. This is a nation for all people, there is a reason why so many DIED crossing to this country, from persecution.

Furthermore, there are plenty of progressives who peacefully follow their religion, without imposing it on to others. They prefer to wear religion in their heart, rather than bombastically bragging about it. We live in a 21st century world, not every child follows Christianity. This isn't about HATING religion, again, we are not a theocracy.

How about we discuss the hypocrisy of many fundies in the right who excuse 45's debauchery, devise apologies for "their guys' indecent behaviors" wink wink, yet vilify a former Democratic president as an anti-Christ, never mind next to 45 he was a saint. That's the kind of hypocrisy that turns sane-minded folks off from the right.

Please check your hypocrisy before making such grandiosely inept statements. You continue to prove yourself an old fool. For such an erotic site, there are so many ignorant, old buzzards on here.

I find this GB intersectionality theory to be beyond simplistic and stupid.

First of all, as a White SE European immigrant, the GB SJWers consider me to be both second class, and to have 'DA white privilege'.
WTF?

Secondly, after emigrating I came across all sorts of attitudes .
I came across local non-Whites who had a chip on their shoulder and tried everything in their power to sabotage me. Other local non-Whites went out of their way to befriend me or help me.
Same with local Whites.
As to immigrants - it always felt easier for me to relate to non-White immigrants than to White/non-White locals, cause similar life experiences /feeling uprooted and stuff.

Yes, discrimination, racist/xenophobic/ageist/misogynistic/homophobic attitudes still exist, unfortunately. But at the end of the day, it's also about one's character & one's attitude towards their particular life experiences.

STFU, Que.

I usually bookmark NotAJ's "greatest hits" ("one times anything is one", "one dollar, one quarter and one nickel is technically 92 cents" et al) but the one that got away from me was a few years back when the Chief insisted he was done learning. He'd learned literally everything he needed to know in life, and now it was his turn to teach.

Apparently advanced age does not always indicate wisdom, at least not in your case.
NotIshmael and NotVetteman disabused us of that particular notion years ago.

Home. Grazing. Had to stop at Teh Walmart to get a few tidbits - on the first, of all dates. Actually, the croud wasn't so bad, but it was fullish.

I forgot to get motor oil for the truck. I ordered some bike oil from Amazon. Same day shipping. It was on the front porch when I pulled up.

Unlike aparking space in front of the house. Quite a crowd they have there, too.

I'm not done much of anything. Learning is a daily activity. Killing should be, too. But the body disposal is such a pain in the hind parts . . . .

Got wind of the next bonus. Sixty percent larger than the last one.

Dayum!!! Between that and Trump's tax cuts, there may be enough shekels for a lovely S&W .357 and a hefty down on a new Harley.

But I will feel guilty out shooting and riding an' shit, while poor ol' Gaspipe rots away in prison.

And the josh burns for those who suffer needlessly . . . .

Morning Wat.

In 1981 I bought a S&W K-22 Masterpiece for $125.00. You can't touch them for less than $1200.00 now in good condition. The Ruger Single Six I bought in 1975 for $99 has jumped almost as much. And if you really want some sticker shock look up the prices on any of the Colt "Snakes."

I use the Ruger SS a lot. During quail season I carry it loaded with snake shot with the magnum cyl. I think that quail and rattlesnakes have a thing going. Wherever you find one you seem to find the other. I hunt squirrels with the K-22, yes, it does shoot that well.

I have a real cheap .22, one of those made with pistol parts and it has a scope on it (also cheap).
The squirrels have learned to fear it.

Now I need to get a bead on whatever picked off two more chickens last week.

They are a lot less work when you can free-range them.

Coyote, Fox, Possum, Coon, take your pick. Possum and Coon usually pick them off in the coop, they're to damn slow to chase them down. Find the scene of the crime and you'll find your culprit(s).

They can't get in the coop. It's rock solid.

Game cam hasn't picked up any coyotes lately, just fox and it's damned hard to get a fox in a live trap. So far all it's gotten is a raccoon, a cat and a small dog...

Oh yeah, feral dogs. They're a problem is some areas.

Coyote and Fox are damned difficult to trap, live trap or not. Both will come screaming into an electronic call with a 'wiggler' to add to the enticement though.

We used to have a feral dog problem, but they expanded the strawberry farm that's not too far from the back of our property and the sightings went way down. They might be doing something about them.

More'n'likely. There was an old woman up in N. Central FL that grew watermelons. 'Bout every other year or so I'd go up and clean out a bunch of coyote's. They'd run through her field taking a bite here and a bite there. One coyote could ruin damn near a 1/4 acre of melons in a single night. They never did eat the whole melon, just bit a chunk out if it.
