When you're as far away as I am, that becomes quite the valid tidbit of info.


Then again, that's why we have the cat's G/F to check on things. She's all over that shit.

Good advice. It was either very, very late on Thursday or very early Friday because I was wondering if the guy who was going to fix the ice maker would even have the power to do the fix, which, btw, was a broken switch, easy to access, in the front exterior panel. All that freaking work for nothing.

Picked berries, cleaned the pool, got the pool vac up and running, went into town to return the unneeded parts and pick up solar salt. Went to reset the timer on the water softener and all I managed to do was trigger a cycle, so now I have to wait on that it to finish, because the doggoned thing thinks it's 3AM.

It's hotter than hell now, like I've been there, so I recorded a Turner Classic movie yesterday, Sydney Greenstreet and Peter Lorie, The Mask of Dimitrios. I watched a good Japanese film from 1958, Conflagration yesterday. I recognized several of the bit actors, especially the young guy from Yojimbo who, towards the end of that movie actually brings a gun to a knife (sword) fight. He was a bit more than a bit player.

I'm getting some ribs delivered this afternoon, probably some of the best the area has to offer. I think it comes with potato salad.

I should do dishes (when the cycle is finished), but the heat is just beating me up the last couple of days. I have a week of thunderstorms forecast, so it will either cool off, or get even worse. Me? I'm betting Satan wins this round...
 
My AT&T is unlimited data. It comes with free HBO, not that that is much of a prize anymore.

I have had that experience. I have also had the experience of not realizing the thing was cycling and going for a glass of water. Hence, I cringed a bit when I read your post.
 
Hey, but it's a great excuse to put off doing dishes and getting absorbed in a good old movie from the days of plot and dialog...
