Thanks for the comments... I was beginning to think I was by myself there for a while! Anyway, finally got the 'experienced' tag.

Halx, the cam is a Nikon Coolpix 990. Pics are superb and these are very much reduced in size. However the camera is a little on the expensive side and I wish it had a remote control feature... timers are OK but a little limiting. Perhaps the new version (995) is better.
