Oh did you draconus![]()
Indeed I did. I was checking Lit on my phone as I was waiting for my train when I saw your picture. Needless to say I had to be discreet when I moved things.

Morning Fflow! You so welcome.![]()
Hope you're having a relaxing Saturday morning. Xo
Sadly, it wasn't relaxing. My wife and I drove up to LA, encountering lots of absolutely mystifying traffic along the way. We went to make phone calls for a candidate for School Board. I don't know if the story has made its way out of California, but all kinds of deep cuts to education have been made recently, and it is likely that more are on the way. My wife, who is a teacher, is safe from elimination this year but, next year, her job may be in jeopardy.
At the Union building where were making calls, there were lots of other teachers, all talking about having their schools converted to charter schools, and being forced out. When we finally finished our calls my sweet wife said, "I need a drink!" So we stopped at the one and only winery in Los Angeles, and sampled some wines.
Now, we're home again, and I'm just playing a bit of catch up.
*SIGH*
Sorry.
Oh I know you do![]()

what would nice warm breathe flowing over those goose bumps on your neck do to you?![]()
So many things that mark us out as a civilised society are being cut here too.
We do hear about the parlous state of Californian finances, and also heard about your Governor's plan to eliminate books from schools as being unnecessary now we have the internet. I wonder how many books he reads a year?
GREAT Series CG!

CG's back from her trip, and she's looking forward to replying to your comments (yes, even the socio-political ones). She did take some phone pics, though.
For me, to you.![]()

I just looove the shot with the light shining up from below - the play of shadows and filmy fabric is fantastic!
I love all the others too, nats, but that one is extra special.
You guys are amazing, I hope you appreciate each other as we appreciate you sharing your art.

Well, creating a high quality curriculum should be a priority. I'm not sure it matters how it is delivered. Having a digital curriculum might have some significant advantages, actually. I certainly don't think he's suggesting that reading be eliminated. That would be silly.
Still, I believe that the 19th Century Industrial Revolution method of factory education needs to be thrown out. There are so many new insights into learning facilitation that can't be implemented under the current paradigm. One thing I can tell you with certainty is that California's state of crisis isn't being caused by educators.
Oh, and for CG: FUCK!!!
