I'm sorry I wasn't around much this weekend. Still, I'm super glad to come back and find this:
I was thinking to myself, "Wow! This feel so intimate, and so sexy at the same time. The black nails, the choker (I have a completely irrational love of chokers... They're so freakin Sexy!!!), and those dark lips... Gawd!"
Then, as I continued in 'catch-up' mode, I found this:

PS: My wife and I went to a Zombie Walk on Saturday. It was fun. I did my own makeup, and my stepdaughter said I looked like a crushed berry.

I am a HUGE fan (Read HUGE) of English film director Ken Russell. His films aren't for everyone, and some are downright silly at times, but I would heartily recommend several of his movies.
Favorites of mine, from the 80s, are Salome's Last Dance, Crimes of Passion, The Rainbow, Altered States, and Gothic. Whore, with Theresa Russell, was perhaps his last film of any consequence to me. Strangely, it is available on video under the absurd and wonky title, "If You're Afraid to Say It... Just See It."
Some of his films from the 70s are also fantastic, if a bit wacky. He did several bio-pics about composers, including The Music Lovers (Tchaikovsky), Mahler (Mahler), and Lisztomania (Liszt).
His most famous from the 70s was, perhaps, The Who's Tommy.
He also won lots of accolades for his film adaptation of the DH Laurence novel, Women in Love, and The Devils was a bold adaptation of a novel by Aldous Huxley.
His film, The Boy Friend, starring Twiggy and Tommy Tune, is hilarious.
I am sad to say that, in the last 10 years, he's taken to making little home movies with his neighbors and family. I've not seen any of them, but I've not read a single positive review.
Also, I am sad to confess that I've never seen what some consider to be his most important film, Savage Messiah. This is something I intend to remedy soon.
Lastly, if you're interested in reading his autobiography, do. It is hilarious!
