There used to be a sticky thread with instructions on how to bypass the site rules on what is and what is not allowed. The thread stated that you could use a third-party server to host your photos and just link to them in your posts here. (This is the method I use for my photo sharing here.) I think that thread may have been removed as it did lead to some confusion—the site rules say any and all photos must adhere to the same guidelines, but the thread I mentioned said explicit photos could be shared as long as they weren't hosted on Lit's servers. Perhaps the thread was removed because of this confusion. Ah, well. I suppose mine violate some of the rules as well, but to this point no one has complained. (No doubt due to the relative lack of traffic on a male picture thread.)

Yeah, the issue isn't as much censorship, it's the site technically not being allowed to host sexually explicit pictures without having official records that all people being pictured are older than 18.

I guess I'll just have to take this as motivation to getting around to looking into this Yahoo group .

It's not a double standard. The forum guidelines state that the site moderators will not routinely go through the thousands of threads looking for photos that violate the forum rules. Instead, they rely completely on the feedback from other members who take it upon themselves to report violations. The mods then send a message to the thread's owner warning of the violation. If the photos aren't taken down in a timely manner, the thread is summarily deleted. That's how it works. If other threads display photos that are in violation of the rules, it's only because no one has reported them yet.
