We were informed that our pics were breaking the rules, so we took them down. We will upload them to our group. There may be some other ones we have to take down because we don't know which ones they are talking about. Anyway, we are glad that we got a warning instead of having our thread shut down.

"lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person." That could apply to over half of our pics!

OK, I'd really hate to go through each pic and decide whether it's within the rules or not, so for now I'm taking them all down. Blah.

The thing that makes this difficult is that I don't believe in censorship, as long as no one's getting hurt, and the people involved are doing what they want.
 
We're thinking we may start over again, like a reboot within the thread or something. We really do enjoy posting here, but censorship sucks. It rubs me the wrong way as an artist. I know there were things we were posting that would be considered porn, and that's why we started the group, but we really did have an artistic vision behind what we were posting here. On the one hand, I respect that the people running the site can run it any way they want, on the other hand, it's hard for me to arbitrarily pull certain pics, while leaving others. They took time, energy, and creativity to create. We were expressing love, intimacy, fun, and sexuality. It's just not a good feeling to single out certain pics over others.

Like I said, we do enjoy posting here, so we'll most likely start over again. Maybe after we talk about it some more, and have had more coffee.

Well, I don't know if I want to kill the thread. It was part of our artwork, and all the people participating in it helped create it. We may just start over inside the thread, and point our first post to that page. Thanks for the encouragement. :)

Thanks, I feel better about creating new pics within certain guidelines, rather than figure out which of the old pics should be taken out. We'll continue to create and post new pics, and add the old stuff as we go along. This may actually revitalize the thread. :)

We will, of course, upload our "banned" pics to the group.

There used to be a sticky thread with instructions on how to bypass the site rules on what is and what is not allowed. The thread stated that you could use a third-party server to host your photos and just link to them in your posts here. (This is the method I use for my photo sharing here.) I think that thread may have been removed as it did lead to some confusion—the site rules say any and all photos must adhere to the same guidelines, but the thread I mentioned said explicit photos could be shared as long as they weren't hosted on Lit's servers. Perhaps the thread was removed because of this confusion. Ah, well. I suppose mine violate some of the rules as well, but to this point no one has complained. (No doubt due to the relative lack of traffic on a male picture thread.)
 
Yeah, the issue isn't as much censorship, it's the site technically not being allowed to host sexually explicit pictures without having official records that all people being pictured are older than 18.

I guess I'll just have to take this as motivation to getting around to looking into this Yahoo group ;).
 
Paint me disappointed! Not only did I miss the candlelight pics, but now all this. You guys deserve better than that.

I hope you don't stop posting here. Those of us who've been on Lit for a while are well aware of the rules and knew that you were posting some that were in clear violation, we just don't talk about it, better to not draw attention to it;) It tends to take the mods a while to catch on.

Once you let the perviness cat out of the bag, it's pretty difficult to stuff it back in again. Glad to hear that you won't let this get you down!
