Trump tells Obama he 'shouldn't be thinking about Europe'

Donald Trump has warned President Obama that he "shouldn't even be thinking about Europe" after the US President backed Britain's membership of the EU.

Speaking about President Obama’s views on Brexit, Mr Trump told ITV’s Good Morning Britain: “Well he shouldn’t be worried about Europe, I mean this guy doesn't know what he is doing in the United States - what’s he worried about Europe for? Let them solve their own problems.”

"But he shouldn't even be thinking about Europe he’s got so many problems here, our inner cities are crumbling, our borders are non-existent, our military is decaying, we have bad health care, we have bad education. What’s he worried about Europe for? He’s supposed to be president of the United States, he ought to work on the United States.

The world, according to Trump

"He’s (President Obama) done a lousy job and he’s been a horrible President. If Hillary Clinton got elected it would be four more years of disaster.”

And Trump wants a federal solution for every one of those issues. Get ready for more government bloat.

I read most of it this time, but what's the point? I'm sure there are things both Obama and Trump have said that have more meaning than this. This falls rather flat.

On a side note, are you and Frodo together? I don't know the social conventions here, but I was just wondering.

OUCH! :D

Trump: "Don't be thinking about Europe. I sure don't. (China China China China China)"

Probably because Trump doesn't recommend 'thinking.'

Would A ‘Brexit’ Matter To America? A Former British Diplomat On What’s At Stake

May 18, 2016

"Much is made of America’s investment in Asia, but the U.S. has invested more than three times as much in Europe, paying dividends in both jobs and economic returns."

"Britain helps maintain the market’s openness, defend its reliable rules-based nature and ensure international investors are welcome. As such, the lion’s share of American investment in Europe goes into Britain, as a gateway to the rest of the single market."

"If Britain left the EU, then the single market would probably go in different (less open) directions, and American investment in Britain would be isolated from the rest of the European market."

"Britain would also change if it left the EU. Besides losing access to the single European market that it helped create, it would have to negotiate its own new access to various markets, including the U.S. This could create years of uncertainty for companies in Britain as well as American firms invested there. The pound’s current volatility suggests that the markets are already fearing this outcome."

Putin!

"Known for his hardheaded calculations, the Russian President Vladimir Putin has determined that Britain’s leaving the EU is in Russia’s interests. That is because Brexit would disrupt the single European market, make the EU less internationalist, and cause economic harm to British and American companies."
