In any large political gathering it shouldn't be difficult to find the extreme assholes - whatever the political party.

It's the same with demonstrations and marches. There will always be a few who will say, or do, things that would appal the majority of those present. In London most marches for whatever issue will attract the dedicated protesters who will attack the police, damage property and cause a nuisance. They are there for the opportunity to behave badly and don't give a shit about the issue. They might shout the slogans and wave the banners but they want media attention to their actions.
