Trump says he will ‘look very favorably’ at pardons, apologies for Jan. 6 rioters if elected

I thought the Republicans were supposed to be in favor of the rule of law...

There are plenty of gang members, violent drug traffickers, murderers, and rapists who supported Biden, why doesn't Biden pardon them?

Because, unlike Trump, Biden believes in the rule of law and common decency.

The GOP will be incensed. They regard Law and Order as almost their property; this will enable D candidates to ram this support of lawlessness down the throat of every GOP candidate.

Considering how republicans have worked to rationalize Trump's behavior over the years, I'll believe it when I see it. I have no reason to believe that they will treat this any differently. If anything I expect them to punish any republican that displays disloyalty to Trump.

The GOP will have no problem doing both, cursing Trump privately, and condemning any of their own candidates who does so in public.

Dems are ok with violence when it is for their selfish reasons. Kavanaugh, looting and burning while killing many and injuring 1000's of police over the summer. In fact, they bail them out.

But protest election fraud for 1 night (while they murder an unarmed woman protestor), then they literally lock them up and throw away the key. And you idiots are ok with that. A big F U to you.

Dems are so scared of the midterm masacre that they will say or do anything. Because they got nothing at all but destruction of this country to show for accomplishments.

If Trump continues to make such stupid statements it is the Repubs who should be scared of a mid-term massacre. Trump and abortion make an unpleasant mix.

There is only one solution to dealing with Fascist traitors. Americans are unwilling to do what the need to do to stop it. So the cancer will grow and be terminal

The people who protested on January 6 went home without issue.

Those who broke into the Capitol, attacking police and destroying property are being held accountable for their crimes.

But protest election fraud for 1 night
Nobody in DC on 1/6 was protesting election fraud. To protest election fraud, one goes to the county seat or the state capital. The crowd on 1/6 stormed the US Capitol for one purpose - to stop the certification of the election by using threats and violence. That is why they are properly called insurrectionists.

Why does DumncAssed keep telling us about his idiocy?

1) Violence is violence. A good leader should condemn both equally. Biden has done so. Trump has not. There should be consequences for both.
2) You are misconstruing what happened. For one, there was no "Election Fraud-" everyone at that rally that day knew that, even if they refused to admit it publically. And threatening the execution of democratically elected leaders and committing violence against police, vandalizing the capital, is NOT a peaceful protest. Yes, those who engaged in this behavior deserved to be locked up and thrown away. That is how a civilized society works.

Should we have freed Tim McVeigh, a "loyal patriot" who was protesting the deaths at Waco? Or Eric Rudolph, a "Patriot" who planted bombs at the Olympics while protesting abortion? Wait...dont answer that, because knowing you, you will probably say "Yes."

3) EXPLAIN how Democrats have "Destroyed this country." That is an irrational and emotional statement and not at all constructive.
4) I cannot predict the outcome of the midterms, but I know that right now, many people are furious about their loss of liberties and the possibility of losing even more freedoms- at the hands, ironically enough, of the Republicans, and not the Democrats. These people will vote.

Bottom line: You can't help, Icanhelp1.(or whichever your username de jour is.)

trump-appointed DC appeals judge rejects trump lawyers' argument that trump should have immunity from a civil lawsuit since letting things progress would mean difficulties to all future presidents doing their jobs.

“How many cases will there be with a colorable claim of incitement against the president?” Katsas asked. “It seems like that is not going to hamstring the president in his day-to-day job.”

As defined by Cornell University's Legal Information Institute, a colorable claim is "a plausible legal claim" that "is 'strong enough' to have a reasonable chance of being valid if the legal basis is generally correct and the facts can be proven in court."

The only thing that TFG is really considering is how much he can sell pardons for.

So that we may never forget that horrific day when a couple thousand traitors tried to violently overturn a US election, here's a database of all of those who have been charged, prosecuted, convicted or taken plea deals, and sentenced. It also includes the THREE suspects who were acquitted on all charges. Out of over 1400.

This woman gives updates on virtually every single case, including all of the sentences.

Oh. This is an old thread, you MAGA pieces of shit say? Guess what? The prosecutions are still continuing to this day, and will do so until the statute of limitations runs out. So fuck you.

Another insurrectionist goes down. Something that puzzles me about all of these convictions. Why don't any of the defendants claim that they were suckered by Antifa or the FBI into storming the Capitol? Virtually all Trump supporters that I've seen claim that it was a setup of some kind. Why don't the actual convicts assert that, as well?
