Trump racks up wins, even as impeachment grips Washington

President Trump enjoyed an extraordinary period of policy successes over the past two weeks, even as Democrats seeking to remove him from office moved articles of impeachment through the House.

As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats damaged Trump politically, the two negotiated an update to the North American Free Trade Agreement, allowing the president to tout a previously elusive trade deal after three years of promising he would complete it. And he and House Democrats compromised on $1.4 trillion in spending that funds critical aspects of Trump’s immigration agenda and delivers on his vision for the Space Force, the first new U.S. military service branch in more than 70 years.

The president obtained regular funding for construction of a wall along the Mexican border; won the elimination of unpopular Obamacare taxes, such as one on medical devices; and signed legislation to provide permanent federal funding for historically black colleges and universities.

Dave Carney, a Republican strategist in New Hampshire who backs Trump, said that independents, a critical voting bloc, were particularly unmoved by impeachment. The drama might have been consequential to partisans on the Right and Left, he said, “but to the people in the middle, the truly persuadable voters, it’s just noise.”

It's only just begun

It's even better when you read this'

It's no wonder that the Progressive/Socialist/Democrats hate him.

And To think that I'm an Independent and didn't even vote for him in the first place!

Yes.

It is unusual for a president to even try hard to do what he promised.

We didn't put him in office to preach to us or even be a moral leader.

We put him in office because we felt we had no choice...

it was either him or the country go Batshit left wing liberal/ socialist.

Who the fuck knew he actually WANTED to do what he said he would?

Win some lose some...

Impeachment did not hurt Clinton either.

Clinton hurt Clinton. Though he remained in office, the public was informed he committed 11 felony violations of federal law. He was forced to pay Paula Jones $800,000. He was forced to pay an $80,000 fine for lying to a federal judge. He lost his law license for five years. No one has identified a crime committed by Trump.

Speaking of wins. The RWCJ’s fave columnist who they often quote:

Isn't Media Matters a George Souros entity? I hear NIKE is coming out with a George Souros shoe; a companion to the Colin Kapernick "I hate America" shoe.

Just because you're too lazy to read the US code on FEC rules doesn't mean no one has identified one.
Just because you're too lazy to research the other crimes committed by him doesn't mean people haven't identified them.

According to popular wisdom... the average citizens commits 3 felonys per day

I wasn't going to open this thread
but
someone who calls themselves pornochic
well, I just had to see what she had to say...

Could be, but I doubt many are publicly identified, unlike trump's case.

Public accusations =/= publicly identified.

Unfortunately for the left in Trumps case not liking him a whole bunch doesn't make him a criminal.

You probably should read RG's post before you join in the discussion when you obviously don't know what it's about.

Solomon is an internationally known and respected investigative journalist who is condemned now by every left wing propagandist in the US, but that doesn't diminish his excellent and timely work to informed people in America and elsewhere. His work is going to break wide open government crimes of the last decade for all to see...on both sides of the political spectrum.

What crimes has he committed and why haven't the smartest lawyers in the Democrat Party been able to articulate a single federal violation and case to support it? Why aren't those alleged statute violations included in the articles of impeachment? Show me and the Democrat lawyers what FEC rules he violated that rise to an impeachable offense.

Enjoy your Kool-Aid.

Jeffrey Epstein was “internationally known” too. WTF does that mean?

The real collusion:

These Former Intelligence Chiefs Fit Perfectly Into Our Media Advocacy Culture

Victor Davis Hanson / @VDHanson / December 25, 2019

"Four, all in their post-Obama administration careers are either paid cable news analysts or frequent guest commentators. Clapper is a CNN security analyst. Brennan was hired by MSNBC for a similar role. McCabe is a CNN contributor. Comey often makes guest appearances on news programs as a political and intelligence expert.

In the most controversial stories, Brennan, Clapper, and McCabe are being paid to analyze theories, facts, and findings in which they themselves are often central players. As a guest commentator, Comey has weighed in on these controversies even as he distorts his past roles in them.

Yet such abject conflicts of interest are not the only ethical problems posed by these four. Until recently, all four held federal security clearances. Comey recently gave his up, apparently so he would not have to give testimony about classified information in the Horowitz investigation. The former intelligence officials sometimes gave us wink-and-nod suggestions that their television expertise was based on information not available to the general public.

In sum, we are witnessing a surreal collusion between the nation’s former top intelligence officials and the progressive media—beyond even the nightmares of so-called conspiracy theorists.

The most powerful intelligence chiefs of the Obama administration—Brennan, Clapper, Comey, and McCabe—have routinely offered the nation their own warped theories about wrongdoing in high places that are as self-serving as they are contradicted by facts."
