Wray is a former U.S. assistant attorney general who oversaw the Department of Justice's criminal division under former President George W. Bush.

According to the article, during the George W. time in office, Wray was quoted as saying, “Look, I don’t know what’s going on, but before you guys all pull the rip cords, please give me a heads‑up so I can jump with you.”

Wasn't Mr. Wray a member of Gov. Christie's legal team during "Bridgegate?"

Wray represented Christie during the Bridgegate trial and reportedly still has the governor's Bridgegate cell phone, a key piece of evidence because it contained a dozen deleted text messages sent between Christie and his then-chief of staff during sworn testimony by Port Authority employees testifying before the Legislature's investigative committee.

It's not his phone. Until Gov Christie asks for it back, he is legally obligated to retain it in a secured manner.
