March 1, 2025

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte has urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to mend his relationship with President Donald Trump following a heated confrontation at the White House on Friday.

“It is important that President Zelensky finds a way to restore his relationship with the American President and with the senior American leadership team,” Rutte told the BBC on Saturday, revealing details of his call with Zelensky after the meeting.

Rutte described the Oval Office exchange as “unfortunate.”

Looks like the NATO Chief can see a bit further into the future than the average dipshit Democrat.

Well, it doesn't look like that will happen soon after todays meeting between the European leaders.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky might have self-immolated himself and his country’s ties with the United States with one meeting. It was the talk of the town, with President Trump excoriating the Ukrainian leader rightly for being an ungrateful clown who tried to shake-down the United States for more cash. There’s a reason why a Republican is in the White House and not a Democrat. There’s been a shift, and Zelensky grossly misread the room.

Zelensky tried to remind President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and others in the room that Russia was a threat, unaware that we already know this—the nation is a nuclear power. We had a Cold War with Moscow that dominated the 20th Century geopolitics, Zelensky. We know we’re rivals. It paved the way for a blunder that led to Trump kicking Zelensky out of the White House, canceling a lunch, and a joint press conference. Kyiv was nuked, just not in a conventional way.

I wouldn't be surprised if Zelensky was gone from Ukraine very soon and new leadership installed.

‘Absolute Idiocy’ — Zelensky Blasted by Ukrainian Lawmaker for ‘Arguing’ With President Trump in Front of the World

A prominent Ukrainian lawmaker declared it was “absolute idiocy” for President Volodymyr Zelensky to openly argue with U.S. President Donald Trump in front of the world during their Oval Office meeting on Friday.

Oleksiy Goncharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada parliament in Kyiv, lamented that Ukraine’s relationship with President Trump came to an “end” on Friday after a heated White House meeting in which President Zelensky was accused of being “disrespectful” to the U.S. leader and the American people.

Goncharenko wrote on Facebook that it was “absolute idiocy to start ARGUING with the President of the United States in front of the cameras,” adding that “it can be done and probably should be done, but not in front of cameras.”

The Ukrainian MP, who sits with the European Solidarity bloc of former Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko in the parliament, went on to warn that Zelensky’s behaviour on Friday could have “very bad consequences” for Ukraine.

Goncharenko said that such consequences could include a potential shut down of Elon Musk’s Starlink internet access to the Ukrainian armed forces to even an end of Washington sharing intelligence with Kyiv, both of which have been critical for Ukraine in its war with Russia. The Ukrainian lawmaker added, “Zelensky has put millions of people at risk, and it’s madness.”

That's not a fact. Else Russia would've stopped their attacks.

You're correct, i have no interest in any horseshit you use for information.
Because you're an intellectual coward who can't face the truth.

Because you're an intellectual coward who can't face the truth.
The truth is that the Ukrainians have been in added and are defending themselves against that invasion.

You want them to stop and capitulate to their invader. 47 wants them to pay for being invaded.

Volodymyr Zelensky Has Only Himself To Blame

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky came to the White House on Friday to meet U.S. President Donald Trump in search of more help in his war with Russia. Instead, he did the worst thing possible: he got into a public shouting match with the man who could help Ukraine the most, Donald Trump, and in about five minutes, he probably sealed his loss in the war against Russia.

As I have been arguing in these pages since 2021, Zelensky should have taken the diplomatic path to prevent the war from starting (by refusing to implement the 2015 Minsk Accords or his unwillingness to suck down his pride and take the deal offered by Putin in December 2021), and should have sought a negotiated end weeks into the war, in Istanbul in April 2022.

But Zelensky has always refused to take the path that preserved the greatest amount of his territory or preserved the people over whom he leads. He has rejected every opportunity to end the war, and even now, he still appears unwilling to acknowledge the military reality that the war is unwinnable and seems unable to acknowledge that there is no peace deal to be had that advantages Kyiv. Instead, he has chosen to act out the role of a presumed modern-day Winston Churchill, rejecting every diplomatic overture offered by the Russians, choosing to fight.

That worked under the previous U.S. president because Joe Biden was perfectly willing to join with Zelensky in ignoring basic combat realities to keep the war going, so long as Russia was “weakened” in the process. Biden’s view, however, never had a fantasy that Russia would be militarily defeated because Biden realized that if Ukraine were to win, it would almost certainly push Russia into a nuclear escalation – something even Biden was keen to avoid.

He might very well have sealed his fate.
