If you want yet another reason to worry that Trump will be elected president, consider today's headline story from the Washington Post: From belief to resentment in Indiana
The thing that caught my eye: union members, working in manufacturing, so angry at how things are going that they are spending their 10-minute breaks campaigning for Trump. That union members could desert the Democratic party en mass is something I have not seen, nor did I expect to see in my lifetime. Yes, there were Reagan democrats, but union members actively campaigning? This is going to get interesting.

The jig is up...they don't want to listen.

One of Clinton's biggest donors is renowned for union-busting and she has repeatedly voted in favour of legislation to crack down on union membership. With Sanders all but out of the race the only person left who appears to support the ideals of the general public, due to the fact that he's not bought by companies who would financially suffer due to unions, is Donald Trump.

The democrats are no longer a party of progressivism, they've become what republicans were in the 60's and shifted center-right as a whole. Whilst republicans have slid further down the scale to compensate.

When have union members actively done anything they weren't paid to do? Put complaining aside, we should encourage them. If they had put this much effort into their jobs, China wouldn't have them now.

I was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union and a public employee union for much of my working life. As a rule, union members earn their pay.

Where the unions and I parted company involved contractual issues that made my job difficult and inconvenient. Like, the contract allowed me to transport my toolbox to the job site in my car, but I hadda tote my toolbox from the parking lot to my work area, regardless of the distance or weather.

Absolute horse shit. American workers are the most productive on the planet. China has our jobs because they work for free under hellish conditions.

You wanted to drive your car all the way into the building to your work area? Or are you saying you wanted some minion to carry it into work for you?

Yep, I think American workers do just fine as workers. (And I've seen folks at work in quite a few other countries. In Egypt, when I was checking into the airport, there was only one check-in line, with one person working the desk and five standing around him and supervising. I had to give a bottle of Jim Beam to one of the supervisors even to be able to stand in line--same with customs in Rangoon.)

Definitely the minion. He comes from a long line of slave owners.

As do you I'm sure.

You're one of those 'doth protest to loudly' types who has a Klan hood in their closet while they call everyone else here a racist.

‘Morning Joe’ defends Trump’s boorish behavior by claiming he’s been victim of worse sex harassment

he New York Times over the weekend published an exhaustively reported expose detailing how presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has treated women over the years. Among many other things, Trump would constantly make comments about women’s figures during meetings and once he even knocked the woman who oversaw the construction of his Manhattan business headquarters for gaining weight.

While these stories have drawn condemnation from many women across the country, including many conservative women, Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough went to bat for Trump on Monday morning to defend his boorish behavior.

On the other side:

CNN contributor Angela Rye pointed out to Trump supporter Dr. Gina Loudon on Monday that by accusing Hillary Clinton of “enabling” her husband’s affairs, Trump was also implicating his multiple wives in his affairs.

Rye pointed out during an interview on CNN that a disagreement between Trump’s former girlfriend, Rowanne Brewer Lane, and New York Times about her experience with the candidate did not refute the fact that “women are just objects to him.”

“They are simply items that he collects,” she explained. “And it’s clear — even if Rowanne does not know — she was a part of that collection. The fact that he had a drawer full of bathing suits is crazy, it’s ridiculous.”

“I’m never going to talk about Donald Trump’s daughter, but I think it’s disgusting that he calls [Ivanka] a 10 or ‘Isn’t my daughter hot?'” Rye continued. “I feel that my dad should continue to uplift me and not ask anyone to rate me.”

Sex is a food fight in this election. Voters don't care. Voters are over being fucked over by both parties for jobs, prosperity, and security.

I think you're right in this case Jimmy. The RNC and the DNC have allowed their candidates to shuck and jive and not meaningfully discuss the real issues that should be addressed in this election. They expect to let the electorate swallow this bullshit forever distracting them by schoolyard bickering, when our electoral process is polluted by Establishment Shills and the peoples voices, crying out for justice, are no longer heard.

The voters are not real pleased by another meaningless election of another Establishment shill in the White House who does the Dark Lords bidding, while the country is being sold out by Wall Street, basic American Values are disregarded and the Washington insiders ignore the real problems in our country, happily dividing up the spoils granted them by our Corporate Overlords.

The Repugs are in chaos because they have limited the candidates to shills and con-persons with no capacity to govern much less understand the problems of our Republic. No they want to distract the populace by "LGBT Rights", "White Privilege" and other meaningless bullshit so as not to upset the looting of our country.

The DNC is seeing the this revolution happening despite DWS's best efforts to distract the people by waving Trump and saying "Do you want Trump to win, well Hillary is our only hope!" Despite the fact that over half the electorate does not like, trust, or can even tolerate her bullshit any longer.

Both organizations have allowed the nation to become cynical about the process and now the internet has allowed the people to see what's behind the curtain. No longer are the people's viewpoints controlled by the "Main Stream Media" now that there are hundreds of alternate views available in the nations homes on the webs.

It is no longer 1968 and the people may just rise up and disrupt the whole sorry assed process of selecting the next slate of corporatist shills to do nothing in Congress while our jobs are shipped overseas, our treasury is drained and the welfare of the nation is ignore in the quest of greater profits.

Perhaps the Revolution will be Televised?
