Thank you CG for your words of wisdom... I just hope, that no matter what decision I make, him and I can still be friends...:rose:
It makes me happy when ex-lovers can still be friends. It seems like that becomes more frequent as people get older. (I knew a lot of people in high school who were friends, then dated, then acted like they didn't know each other....pity...)

I like this one the best. Did you just come up with them yourself? Because I've never seen any of these before.

Swatted away? I was disappointed that I didn't notice until after the fact. ;) I wonder if I'd been drinking??

and welcome to C_G.... big *hugs* for Dreamy, C_F, Winzy, Jewelz, Oman and anyone else that might want one.

SSL...I have to agree with the consensus...go with your feelings on this. I've found that being true to your own instincts are your best bet. I've gotten into the worst situations because I've ignored them.

You know, there have been so many of us "old-timers" showing up... but I'm missing a couple...I know NG must be out there somewhere...but where the heck is badmatt? and Gunner...I miss Gunner....I could always count on that man to keep me on my toes. and is naded still around? (hmmm, ok...the mia list is heavy on the testosterone...I'm a red-blooded female...forgive me!)

No, unfortunately. One of my favorite humor lists www.topfive.com

I'm glad they at least had a good one today and one that was approrate for Lit. :D

I think I can vouch for the rest of the male TC population that the statement above is nothing to be ashamed of or forgiven for... In fact we prefer that trait in our women ;)

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

This isn't really a confession, but I just need to get this off my chest, at least for a short period of time.

I've wanted to be a physician since I was 13, so I never really considered any other career possibilities. Now that I'm a first-year in college I'm taking the first set of pre-med requirements and everything seemed relatively fine and dandy.
Monday I went to this seminar that had a representative from UMass Medical School speaking, saying what we should do if we want to go to med school. Leadership, volunteering, waiting to apply until I'm 26 or so, going abroad, working in a team...this I can all do. What I'm starting to worry about though is what I'm going to major in. I was considering majoring in theater and minoring in spanish (because you can technically major in anything), but the way she was talking, a major in an art wouldn't really be the best for med school. But I can't think of any other major I'd be happy in. I'm okay at biology, but I'm more an anatomy person and we can't really major in that. I'm in such a pickle. I guess I should go talk to my pre-med advisor sometime before the end of the semester, but with all the pre-med requirement classes I need to take, there really isn't much space for dabbling in certain majors.
*breathes*
Okay, that's all for now. :rose:

My understanding is that Med schools won't turn up their noses at non-science majors. As long as you have enough electives in pre-med type courses and do well in them you should be fine. I have friends who majored in music and got in with no problems. In fact, I'm thinking that having that type of major makes you more well-rounded.

OK, back to lurk mode.

That's what I thought before, but a girl in my bio lab was saying that she asked the lady if being an art major was okay, and the lady responded with a "Weeellllll....you can really major in anyway...". Whenever there's a response with a long "well", I always take it as a nicer way of saying "no" or "not really". Thanks though, Red. I guess I should look more into it and talk to more advisors before I really start worrying about it.

Hi TCers!

Good to see this tread moving again!

Leaving a True Confession for my 'Man:

I ate all the dang ice cream!!! :(

Guess I'll be looking like this pretty soon:

http://www.stik.biz/rcecardicon.gif

I've been going through a stressful time myself lately, although it's no excuse for "pigging" out!

Thank goodness Oman's love is unconditional!

And I'm back. This thread is taking too long to load, well to at least post. I'm thinkin gof a calling this thread quits now though I might lurk here and in the Author's Hangout once in a while. I might venture in the BDSM forum a bit, see if there is anything interesting there. So, that's pretty much it.

Well, what's new to finish up my gossib.... hmmm

Tomorrow, Judge Jules (world famous dj) plays and I'm a going. Will be a cool night, I hope.

I'm starting to get some friction in the knees - it doesn't feel right, right now. It's been bothering me lately. Hopefully it will subside. If it gets worse... oh boy. But I shan't worry myself with that stuff already. Only if it gets worse.

What else...

I am going to see a shrink, hopefully he can do something to aid my generalised anxiety which has been plaguing me and preventing me from passing my courses (having panic attacks during essays causing me to get zeros). I hope to address that soon, even if it requires external help (which it most likely does.)

Other than that, I'll see y'all if you ever should chose to lurk the author's hangout.

Just thought it might help knowing that others are dealing with anxieties and panic situations.

It's almost a year since I've been getting treatment; fortunately I have found a medical doctor who is willing to work closely with an excellent therapist.

There's no "easy fix", but it's important to be patient with yourself and get the care you need.

Best of luck, and don't give up!:rose:

Even considering my standards,
this is a groaner
so beware!!!!!!

Zebediah was in the fertilized egg business.

He had several hundred young layers, called pullets, and eight or ten
roosters, whose job was to fertilize the eggs.

Zeb kept records, and any rooster that didn't perform well went into the

soup pot and was replaced.

That took an awful lot of Zeb's time; so, Zeb got a set of tiny bells
and
attached them to his roosters.

Each bell had a different tone so that Zeb could tell, from a distance,
which rooster was performing.

Now he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report simply
by
listening to the bells.

Zeb's favorite rooster was old Brewster. A very fine specimen he was,
too
but on this particular morning,

Zeb noticed that Brewster's bell had not rung at all!! Zeb went to
investigate.

The other roosters were chasing pullets, bells a-ringing! The pullets,
hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover.

BUT, to Zeb's amazement, Brewster had his bell in his beak, so it
couldn't
ring.

He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

Zeb was so proud of Brewster that he entered him in the county fair.

Brewster was an overnight sensation.

The judges not only awarded him the No Bell Piece Prize but also the
Pulletsurprise.

Wintermute...you'll never believe it but my hubby was asking for euphimisms for having a period so your post really helped :)

SSL....go with your gut...it will be right :)

Xelebes..good to see you about :) hope you get yourself sorted hun :)

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have a job interview in the morning...

I will go with my gut instinct... now if I just knew what it was:confused:

Going to bed now... interview is bright and early.

Wish me luck!

Morning all!

Looks like this thread is really picking up! Even with the doggishly slow time to post, I had several pages to read this morning :D

Winzy, LOVE the new AV.....so much more to you than just the eyes ;)

EL, I am really glad you are back! Da place just isn't the same when you are MIA.

I am happy to report that I have an interview tomorrow with the city for an internship....a paid internship :D Ironically, it isn't in graphic design but database programming  Life sure is funny sometimes....couldn't find work in the puter field so went back to school for an art degree....half way through the art degree stuff and the internship is for puter work...gotta love the way things work :D

Do you ever have one of those days? Yeah? Well me too, and today is one of them.

You know the kind, where every post you read you feel like clicking that little reply button and telling whoever it may be to not-so-politely shut up or maybe that they are an idiot or inserting the oh-so-sarcastic rolly-eye emoticon.

I think I've been lurking over at the GB for far too long without letting out some of this pent up bitchiness of mine. :D

Ok, I'll just sit over here and keep my comments to myself. I would hate to tarnish my little-miss-nice image. ;)

I hear that too much pent up bitchiness can adversely affect the quality of orgasms... so I say go raise hell! ;)

*runs in, scribbles note to leave on the bar, runs out again*

on the note:

Heya everyone! It's Thursday. I'm gonna try to peek in here later tonight, to see if anyone was able to stop by.

Freya! Woman! I miss the hell outta you!

SS, last night Danny and I went to dinner and ordered a pitcher of Peach Sangrias. OMG! That stuff was soooooo freakin' good. Think you could find a recipe? I think everyone that visits the bar would absolutely love! (I miss the hell outta you too).

Jenny, I'd really like to connect with you and hear more about the methods of treatment for anxiety disorders.

Fiesty hon, like you I'm missing NG in a big way, Gunner's quick wit, and Matt's naughty nature. I'm not sure about Naded, but I think he floats about from time to time still.

I'm not sure who asked about fluffing, LOL but no, that's not quite it. Would be a hell of a job though, eh? Oh! Fantasy fodder!

Sunny, Red? can I feel your bellies?

Love, SC:kiss:

Nothing like a little timely humor to fit the bill. :D How many did he deciede to use? Also, be sure that he doesn't use to many at a time. :D

Oh no!!! Time for me to bring out some of that bitchiness, I guess. Can't have the quality of my almost non-existant orgasms be affected, now can I??? ;)
