Thank you all. He asked me the other day. I wanted to tell most everyone at the same time. Most of my family and friends don't even know. We just told our parents. We don't have a date yet. I have to be able to get into my mom's wedding dress. So in about 2 years.

Um, here is a thought, though I don't know how comfortable you might be with it. Have you tried explaining to your dentist how you are feeling and more importantly, WHY? I think maybe he might be willing to get it all over with for you if he understood just what it was you are going through. I admit I don't know if I could have such a conversation with my dentist but I think it's worth a try.

I came close to doing that. I did tell him I was petirfied. And he did ask me how I lost the cap on the one in front and how long had it been since I had the one beside it pulled. I told him the truth. I lost both of them at the same time. He asked how in the world that happened. So I told him. My ex pulled them cause I bit him. He looked at me very funny and didn't ask me anything else. But he was as gentle as you can be when putting needles in someones mouth.

Hmm, a dentist with a gentle touch - that might be rare. I'd tell you to go out with him, but that might just be too odd.

Try picturing him in his underwear...might even help with the anxiety!!!
